when you have 9% inflation, home value increases don't seem as rosy as you try and portray. It's ok to cherry pick data of it makes you feel good

Except that the economy was in shambles during the Trump maladministration.

    Nice facts, guys. *rolling eyes*

Are you trying to claim that inflation is zero?

No, not sure why you come to that conclusion. I'm simply stating that, in the area I live in (can't vouch for all of the US) that prices of some things are down a little lately. That doesn't refer to all things across the US, and I was making a point about the intent of the constant posts of "the sky is falling".
    That's all.
I do think inflation will subside over time. The rate of increase is unsustainable, and the economic factors that are causing it are subsiding.

you claimed home prices are cratering.
I posted data showing you were wrong with your assessment.
It's not my fault you made false claims.

    Here is one example.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cn...-covid-relief-package-thursday-afternoon.html

We should have been forcing the people back to work and opening the economy. Not spending another 2 trillion prolonging the pain of the global pandemic.

Want to see hypocrisy? Review this thread.

    http://politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/whats-up-with-repubs-opposing-the-stimulus-bill.585870/

We TOLD you all this would happen.

The left was saying "why are Republicans being so mean and voting against more free money!?"

Now, the same people are saying "you can't blame the left or Biden for any responsibility for inflation.

How do you "force people back to work"? We already had one of the worst responses to the pandemic, and you wanted to make it worse? Besides, I thought you Trumpers were all about "freedom"...I guess not.

BTW, the Orange Halfwit's administration was also tossing money around, so be careful with pointing fingers. And it's not nearly as easy to assign blame as you think...especially with such a poor memory.

You think the stimulus money prolonged the pain of the pandemic? How? We likely would have had real deflation going on if not for stimulus money. trump gave out just as much stimulus money as biden. Maybe more over 2020 and into 2021.

And the last of that stimulus money ended in Sept of 2021. We are over 1 yr past that. Did it cause some delays? Sure, but most people who didn't go back to their jobs did so because they either found other sources of income or learned to live with less.

What about that thread? How's that hypocrisy?
Were the R's not spending stimulus throughout 2020, yes they were. Is that the hypocrisy you post about?

But I doubt 2020 and 2021 stimulus is the reason for the real high inflation.
The real reason for high inflation is people were free to move about the world again, but there wasn't enough supply to meet the new demand that had been sidelined for almost 2 yrs.

If it was Biden, as you claim, inflation would only impact USA. It's not, it's worldwide.

You TOLD us this would happen?

The Obama haters TOLD us that we would have hyperinflation any moment now for eight straight years. A broken clock is also correct one minute each day.

But, then, just like magic, the Tea Party disappeared in 2016, and all the inflation hawks all of a sudden went quiet when Trump started to increase the national debt like a drunken sailor, even before covid.

No, your side has ZERO credibility when it comes to lecturing others about fiscal responsibility.

are you debating the data that shows home prices dropping? Take it up with them? You voted for this economic train wreck; I didn't

Umm, yeah. How? And that's hardly a major cause of inflation. How about scarcity?

And if home pricing would increase, you'd start one thread after the other on how Biden is making homeownership unaffordable. Anyone can see through your doom and gloom spiel. How well did your negativist propaganda work out for you in the midterms? It seems that the electorate didn't buy the "Biden did this" drumbeat.

Yes, propaganda. Here is actual data (facts):

Be my guest to actually find a correlation with presidents that fits your partisan agenda. For example: Prices went up under Bush, then they went down. Prices went up under Obama, and then at the same rate under Trump, and then the rise accelerated under Biden and is now slightly coming down, with prices still higher than the highest under Trump.

    Here are home sales:

Still higher than anything under Trump, even before covid.

So, yes, you are peddling doom and gloom, by cherry picking monthly data without a honest display of the bigger picture. That's propaganda, without a question.

Stopping giving them stimulus and enabling them to sit on their ass?

    Stop incentivizing unemployment.

Why is this so complicated for some of you on the left?

Based on what set of criteria?

I'm not responding to childish flame bait.

So, you're still in denial that all those stimulus dollars, even after the pandemic was mostly over, contributed to inflation?

Please look into when the largest number of infections and deaths took place.

We still have Covid. I guess another round of stimulus now?

Ok. So the crowd that denied any of this would happen are still in denial.

If your that partisan that your response diminishes to this level of absolute non-sense, then not worth the attempt.

The right said over and over, stop passing out free money, the pandemic is over we need to reopen the economy and put people back to work... it wasn't that long ago. We remember. Your lashing out because you do too.

    Here's you, March 10, 2021:

    Good speech.

We note that the benefits of the Biden stimulus actually go to the little guys. For example, unemployment benefits, $1,400 checks, expanded child tax credits, support for small businesses, etc. In contrast, the Trump tax cut went almost exclusively to the big guys in the form of stock buybacks, inflating valuations.

Of course, now the GOP cries about inflation. Where were they when the tax cut on the credit card resulted in a burger at the restaurant going up from $9 to $12, or the car I bought new in 2017 went up from $23,000 to $27,000 under Trump? For what? For a measly $80 a month tax cut? No thank you.

Well don't you look silly now comparing inflation from 2017 to now.

All I can say is turnabout is fair play. Democrats are constantly attacking Republicans and putting out misinformation to make themselves look good. I believe the term is politics but if one side gets to do it then the other side gets to do it to.

There's no train wreck. If you are unable to make your bills, that is likely a fault you did some where in your life.
I am doing just fine as are most all people I know. But then, most everyone I know, works.

I showed data of home prices not cratering. In fact they are still near all time highs. Showing you, your claim was not based on data.
