ISIS isn't an enemy to anyonne but Iraq and Syria. They sure as hell hadn't been able to hit the US or Canada. You'll have a few sympathizers and wannabes but they aren't or weren't ISIS.

You have a short memory, Manafort is the biggest pro Russian of them all and he is currently an advisor to trump.

Is he representing Americans or his own? As it stands he has great financial incentive to get friendly with Russia.

And tillerson is pro Crimea belonging to Russia and he wants an end to the sanctions as the sanctions have cost Exxon billions of dollars. Give me a break Anna. You're sounding like a pro Russian yourself.

On wHat? If we can prove it? If the RNC was hacked also (which your link says they disagree on)? Their motives? If we need a congressional probe? You trust Schumer but not Clapper?

As I posted elsewhere, Mattis and Bolton are not Russian friendly. Tillerson was friendly because they had common business interests. That no longer applies.

As for our allies. They'd benefit from a less aggressive Russia.

They sure didn't benefit under president Obama. Russia took the Crimean Peninsula, started a war in eastern Ukrainian, blew up thousands of Syrian civilians, and hacked an American election. Obama did nothing to stop them.

He's not clear about what the disagreement is, nor do I trust Schumer. Do you?

I think Mattis and Bolton will have more sway when it comes to Russia.

So your answer to an emboldened Russia is to GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANTED? Yes that's showingRussia. Not opposing them at all. Good one.

I doubt that because now he's under very close scrutiny by the press.

Unless he sells his Exxon stock he benefits greatly from ending Russian sanctions.

Is that the same Bolton who called the Russian hacks a false flag by Obama to unfairly accuse Russia? He doesn't seem that hardline against Russia. He's said nice things about them. Maybe you don't know a lot about John Bolton?

Tell all agents involved not to try too hard.

I imagine there's nothing funner than putting cuffs on a person who was your boss the week prior.

It is easy, especially when you are talking about cyber-security, to tailor your analysis to draw a predetermined conclusion. As I have said in the past, when you have the President issue a national assessment, the Intell Communities tend to not dispute that assessment. So, everyone being on the same page really does not mean much.

That having been said, I completely agree with what Obama said during today's press conference. That is that the hacking had no impact on the election. The votes that were cast were the ones that the people wanted, and they were counted appropriately. I hope the electoral college heeds that point, and cast their votes as the voters in their states have voted.

    ENFORCING A RED LINE:

So just what can stir our president from his “no drama Obama” cool indifference to aggression?

Russia invaded Georgia. After President Bush responded effectively to save Georgia from complete conquest, President Obama offered a “reset” to Russia.

Iran crushes a democracy movement in Iran. President Obama does nothing and says nothing.

Russian-backed Assad slaughters the Syrian people, including with the use of poison gas that was a “red line” for intervention. No American response.

Russia invaded Ukraine, including a shoot-down of a Malaysian airliner by Russian-backed separatist hand puppets. Little American response.

Iran tries to bomb a Saudi diplomat in Washington, D.C., with a bomb plot. There is no American response.

Chinese cyber-thefts of our economy and defenses rages. There is no apparent American response.

Russians violate nuclear arms agreement on theater nuclear weapons. Muted American response.

Russians hack Democratic emails when it looked like Hillary Clinton would win. No American response.

Trump wins election. Blood and Guts President Obama vows that this Russian cyber-aggression will not stand!

I do have Russian blood in me, I speak Russian fluently and I've been to Russia twice and stayed weeks. I have Russian distant relatives. I'm American first though. I think America needs to take appropriate action against Russia to prevent them from interfering in our future elections.

Having said all that. Russians (the people) like America. It's Putin that's the issue. He wants to rebuild the Soviet Union.
Putin isn't as happy as people think to see Trump, Mattis, Bolton and Tillerson arrayed against him. He knows he can't roll over them like he rolled over president Obama.

Putin hacked the election to have Clinton lose. When Putin started the hacking he didn't know Trump would be the nominee anymore than anyone in America did. Yes Putin is happy Clinton lost but it's a bittersweet happiness.

What is it you think the Russians did exactly? Expose the collusion between the Clinton campaign and the DNC to cheat Sanders out of the nomination?
