According to several with White House experience I have heard discussing you are correct. When meetings occur and such information is there in handouts and binders at the end of the meeting all that material is left in the middle of the table ans collected a nd securely stores or destroyed. Participants including the President have to leave them there.

The nuclear thingy being thrown against the wall is being done so for a particular part of the classification laws which attempt to get around the Presidents constitutional plenary power over classified information putting nuclear secrets in a separate category than all other. It wouldn't hold upbringing court as you cannot pass a statue that overrides the Constitution. And nuclear launch codes? They are changed daily if not more often and where would he even get a paper list of them?

Let's not forget Obama declassified nuclear secrets and I don't recall the DOJ charging him with an espionage crime.

Is Trump in any way legally accountable for his lawyer having lied to the FBI since they are in his possession?
Since the boxes are said to be marked "classified" I can't see his lawyer lying about them on their own ?

I wonder when the FBI will find out about the documents in the panic room?

And yes, I suspect some informer told the FBI about documents in the safe relatively recently, although that hasn't been confirmed yet. The talking heads I watch seem to think that was the case and it's logical.

 

If they signed it, a copy would have been provided to them.
Yet both attorneys on location stated publicly that they were not given anything and they had no idea what the FBI was searching for.
