Federal judge partially lifts Trump refugee ban after Jewish groups’ challenge

The jewish news site JTA reports that jewish lobby groups managed to get a judge to partially block president Trump's "refugee ban":

What I would like to know is: do you think that it was right or wrong of these jewish organizations to get the judge to block the president's "refugee ban"? And is it really legal for a judge to do that? As always, all opinions are welcome.
