    Russia committed genocide after WWII in the pie shaped slice of land that was properly called Koenisberg that was stupidly given to Russia who renamed it Kaliningrad. The Germans were either executed, sent to Siberia, or told to start walking to West Germany. The survival rate of the Germans sent to Siberia was very very small. You absolutely correct that manyGermanSOVIET POWs disappeared. To be totally honest SOVIET POWs we’re very poorly treated by the Germans. A friend of family a Ukrainian from the Kuban was one of those SOVIET Army POWs. He somehow managed to break away from the Red Army troops who “liberated “ them and made it to the American zone of occupation. He was in the same refugee camp post WWII as we ( my parents and me as a toddler) were in. This man was veteran of the SOVIET war against the Finish people and was “mobilized” when Hitler pulled off a Putin stunt and started a Special Military Operation in the USSR. He told me many stories about his experiences in the war.

    I understand that the estimated number of Russians escaping in the modern Exodus is up over 200,000. Putin should set up massive speakers at the border crossing points and play the theme song from the movie EXODUS. I think only us Boomers remember the movie EXODUS.
