After a weekend of demonstrations in Miami Dade where ANTFI and BLM thugs blocked traffic on I-395 and threatened motorists, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) drafted an “anti-mob” legislation that would expand Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law.

The key points of the draft are increasing the unlawful blocking of traffic to a Third Degree felony and offering immunity to drivers who unintentionally killed or injured protestors who where blocking traffic.

In other words if the goons are busting windows and trying to pull people from their vehicles the driver can respond by putting it to the floor and getting out of there, too bad for anyone who tries to block them.

The proposal would also expand the list of forceable felonies to include allowing the use of force to prevent any individual from causing any actions that would cause any interruption or impairment of a lawful business.

In addition the proposal would withhold all state funds from any local government that chose to defund law enforcement, in other words cut back on law enforcement funding and lose state funding for welfare, housing and all other local social programs.

This writeup based on my attendance of the Governors news conference on 11/10/2020.

Right on! Threatening people with weapons, breaking car windows and attempting to drag people out is more than a legitimate reason to "FEAR FOR ONE'S LIFE"! The fact that it's a "MOB" rather than an "INDIVIDUAL" should in NO WAY NEGATE one's right to self-preservation by any means NECESSARY! If "protesters" want to play the fools, they should be prepared to take the consequences.

    Good to see.
My RINO governor still wants to pass more unnecessary and ineffective restriction son the rights of the law abiding.
    Faber 2022!

I agree that people can make an understandable decision based on fear of harm to punch the gas in the situation you described. Bad situation, but I agree with the protection from prosecution.

I don’t think I understand the bolder part though. Would you be able to elaborate?
