No they haven't. From masks to closed businesses to closed schools, beaches and more... the China Virus has been used by tyrannical politicians in ways never, ever (ever) experienced in the days when I was vaccinated for small pox.

Sure. There was no ORDER... no MANDATE... no punishment if you didn't. That has never been done before. Most folks wanted to get it. There was nothing "conditional" in the clinical approval like with the China Virus Vaccine. There were no recorded cases of injury either, as with the China Virus Vaccine. There were no issues that made people doubt it was harmless... unlike with the China Virus Vaccine. (Don't get me wrong, I am not against the vaccine... I just understand that some folks choose not to have it injected into their bodies and that is their right.)

 

I suppose you are right but we never before had this mass insanity we call antivax either.

 

If it wasn't so obvious that the reigning politicos were using this whole vaccine mandate thing for control purposes, I bet the resistance would be a lot less.

 

Control of who for what?

 

Training us to obey... wearing a mask when vaccinated (silly)... wearing a mask outdoors away from others (silly)... spacing when vaccinated... shutting down your business... limiting your travel... CONTROL.

 

Buy WHY? Why are people doing this? They say it's to protect me from others and I welcome that since COVID would certainly kill me.

 

That has recently changed. I heard President Biden announce that the LA ports-- which also used to only be open 5 days a week-- are going to 7 days, and 24 hour operation.

 

The reigning powers train us to obey to maintain their power. The whole thing is fairly unimportant to me personally though. I'm vaccinated so I'm protected. And I live in Texas where we have no vaccine mandates, requirements or tyranny. Life is normal here. We find the problems in the blue states quite entertaining though.

 

Good luck then in not having any injury or another non-COVID disease requiring "elective" surgery. No hospital will have room for you.

 

My wife had some non-China Virus surgery recently. No problem... all went well and she's fully recovered.

 

I see masks every day here in Florida, but the "blue State tyranny" seems more a figment of your partisan imagination, because practically all businesses have re-opened in every State (are businesses closed anywhere?), sports arenas are packed, etc.

How all this relates to the topic is beyond me.

That is the case throughout the nation. We have a worker shortage.

I believe numbers too, and when people use the argument "I see it with my own eyes", or "a friend of mine said" I know people are not interested in facts

As for the topic, I think its good DeSantis realized Florida ports can be used to unload ships, which of course is what they were built for and what they have always been doing.

Since both those who have received an injection, and those who haven't can carry and transmit the virus, and the injection only protects the one who has received it from serious effects, exactly why do you feel the 'vaccine' and it's erstwhile passport would 'fix' anything?

 

Herd immunity would make it irrelevant, but obviously that is not what lots of people want.

 

Wrong. The vaccine protects you against getting covid and thus against you infecting others.

Which doesn't do anything to reach back in time and change that being a cause of the back up.

 

It's their right only if they take other measures to do their share of cutting transmission--like staying away from "places with faces" (restaurants, bars, clubs, schools, planes, trains, etc.). This would mean cooperating with vaccine passports, the only way we have of checking on compliance short of quarantine. Of course, most of these people have absolutely no intention of doing their share. Since they could care less about my right not to get infected by them, I see no reason to be concerned about their objection to vaccine passports.

If I was still running an auto repair firm, I would personally serve them outside the shop. I would protect my customers and staff from them.

 

I don't believe that 'it's not what people want'. I haven't read or heard a single person stating that they aren't inclined to receive the injection based on undermining 'herd immunity'.

While I have seen some rather bizarre reasoning for not receiving the injection, there are many who have reasons that are well founded for their personal choice.

 

No, the injection does not protect you from getting it or transmitting it. If that were the truth, then 'break though' cases wouldn't exist. It may reduce your chances, but it most definitely does not prevent you from getting a version that does not manifest symptoms. As to transmitting... it is very possible to do so even if you (generic) don't realize you are carrying it.

 

The vaccines protect against, not prevent, infection. Even the polio vaccine isn't 100%.

Again, you're less likely to get covid and thereby less likely to transmit it.

Vaccination does not prevent transmission, why totalitarian measures needs to be implemented?
From the equality perspective if vaccinated person have transmitted COVID his/her COVID passport should be revoked immediately.
