You got to hand it to today's liberal universities, they always manage to find and reward victims, even when they're dead criminals.

Even though this degree is symbolic and useless, it tells us where the left is coming from and what they value. And CNN really does the very least they could do in describing the fight between Martin and Zimmerman, they don't even mention that he was found not guilty, they simply say Zimmerman 'shot and killed' Martin. Biased much?

BTW, I'm sure Martin would have become a terrific pilot who then went on to become an astronaut for NASA.

And WTF is the Trayvon Martin Foundation? How many dead black people in Chicago have a foundation?

It's going to be the "Trayvon Martin 'I'm gonna go back and get that crazy cracker' " award.

How absurd can it get. But if you go to the website it is a racial segregationist school only for blacks. It is a small, private and basically blacks-only for-profit small university. That they awards a degree shows how worthless their degrees are.

Why do you people worship the Midnight Stalker, who got away with murdering Trayvon, and other undesirables in society?

If Zman was found not guilty because he was defending himself, then he must have been defending himself from his assailant who was Martin.

Thats not even remotely true. Zimmerman was not guilty because he believed his life was in danger.

Florida is a stand your ground state.

And what was he standing his ground from? An assault.

What he believed or perceived. Doesn't mean it was a fact. Remember the Martins did get a a wrongful death settlement.

What did Trayvon do academically to deserve a degree? Nothing. What did he do to uplift humanity? Nothing.

    This devalues all honorary degrees.

I also remember hearing the 911 call telling George to not continue following the kid.

I understand how he got found not guilty. But it's also a state that found Casey Anthony not guilty too.

But don't know if I would spend a lot of time defending a guy who posts nude pics of his exes, gets thrown out of bars for be racist, and brags about getting away with killing.

I don't think a 911 operator has the authority to tell anybody anything, and if it's a crime to ignore the operator then I don't recall him being charged with it.

Hopefully employers will take this into consideration when one of their honored graduates goes in to apply for a job.

When people like Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown become heroes for the black community, there's a serious problem.

Can you show me anyone anywhere who worships Zimmerman? But there are plenty of people who worship Martin.

You have judged both men based on your values.

Empathy isn't worship Steve. Finding a way for this to never happen is what a good society does.

I thought conservatives were supposed to have Christian beliefs.

How else can one judge anything except based on one's values? And NO, all values systems are NOT "EQUAL".

I'm sure he was already only a few semester hours away from that degree in neurosurgery anyway.

Just for the record, I'm agnostic. But while I might not have Christian beliefs, I have Christian values (was raised Catholic)
