I'm definitely a 'bacon Jew'. Would never eat any form of pork (or ham), but will happily eat bacon once or twice a year. It gets the exemption because it's insanely delicious. No just god could possibly object.
Ive asked- no can do, or no want to. I probably need to find a small shop where they do more of of the meat preparation, rather than the big ones in supermarkets.
Come to think of it, it was the deli sections of the supermarkets where I asked, not the meat section because they don't sell bacon.
I have tried chocolate covered bacon. Worth the experience once. I tried several versions but, it just doesn't work. Soggy bacon. Maybe if it could maintain crispness with chocolate. . .
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Please tell me it isn't true. It sounds as revolting as battered mars bars!
Barbarians! I need a safe space, off to Smokey Joes for breakfast and to get away from you insane colonials!
A small poem. The bacon thread is a lot of fun, A crispy treat for everyone! With toast and eggs go down a treat The breakfast food we love to eat!
Microwaved bacon crispy? Nope, I don't believe it - you must be using one of those combo ovens (microwave and convection)?
Nope just a regular old pop corn making microwave. Follow those instructions above and if you like crispy bacon you'll be in hog heaven. Be careful as it nears being done. It's real easy to let it go too long and your bacon will be burnt.
