The real reason Ford is not building the Mexico plant is that demand for small cars has fallen.

[QUOTEFields was blunt about why Ford changed its mind, canceling a $1.6 billion factory slated for San Luis Potosi. "The reason that we are not building the new plant,” he said, “the primary reason, is just demand has gone down for small cars.”][/QUOTE]

So the dummy didn't see that before committing $1.6 billion plus to build a new facility in a foreign country? The Board should fire the dummy and then resign themselves for being idiots for having approved the stupid plan.

Well. The plant is not gonna be build in Mexico. Obama takes the blame for the plans for the original plans to be build there, Trump takes the credit for Ford scrapping Mexican plant, and committing instead for USA expansion. Let's make America great again?

Is all there's to it :)

Politicians exploiting the power of the State to intervene, bully, and dictate to private business enterprises and override corporate, profit-driven decisions is a not an unprecedented assault upon free-market capitalism. It has happened elsewhere.

Such a de facto quasi-nationalization of industry seems to be eliciting an ebullience from an ideological quarter one would normally expect to be very, very upset by it.

Kowtowing to the reality of what one, in theory, deems antithetical to one's principles - a government that is far more intrusive into the private sector's purview - is not a unique phenomenon, either.

I don't think there are many, especially here, that have any real principles. This case in particular is very frustrating.

That's a bunch of really complex words hiding a really simple message: "Keep jobs out of the US."

Liberals should just stick to "Hillary Landslide", "The Russians did it", and "Bush's Fault."

The siren song of politicians interfering in private-sector capitalists' profit-driven decisions has an allure for some, no doubt.

It's amusing to watch a cult of personality enthusiastically scrap previously hidebound ideological dogma.

"Let's flail the pom poms whenever a politician dictates to private sector capitalists and vetoes their profit-driven business decisions! Huzzah!"

Ask Trump when Trump shirts and ties are going to be made in America instead of India and the China he so despises. Double-standards? Not a chance!:roflol:

Hopefully he creates a business environment that prevents companies from having to do that sort of thing in order to stay profitable. Years of progressivism have really screwed things up.

Nonsense; make cheap, sell expensive. Business 101. So, when is he bringing Trump jobs back to America? Any idea? I love exposing hypocrites with double standards-and you elected a perfect example.

Trump has already kept several large businesses from taking jobs out of America and he isn't even President yet. A few Chinese companies have said they plan to make products in the US. What a shock, Trump rolls back retarded progressive tax and regulation policies and more businesses are motivated to keep jobs here. That must be a baffling concept to the left.

Yep, some really sickos huh? These modern democrats are 180 from the old democrats, along with the party itself. They no longer represent, stand up for, nor give a damn about working people. They put their own emotions, their hatred, OVER working people and their welfare. This is why I left the democratic party, when it became such a treasonous party, only representing the soft hands of the upper middle class and upper class, in exchange for campaign donations from the well to do, banksters, and corporations.

I expect many establishment GOPhers hate it that jobs are staying here, for the banksters on wall street love offshoring to cheap labor. On top of that it looks like trump will be in contention with our CIA just like JFK was. It would not surprise me in the least if trump gets assassinated. If what I suspect is true. So, look close to see if once he walks into the oval office if trump does a 180, as Obama did. For something changes these men once they take office. It looks almost like they get the rules laid down to them, or threatened, or their families are threatened. Remember Perot getting threats which made him withdraw from the race, to return again, too late? He was running against offshoring, the giant sucking sound, which Clinton signed but the GOP and banksters created. Trump may tell them to shove it, if this conspiracy theory is true, go on national tv and bust them out. He would be the guy who would have the balls to do it. Something sure castrated Obama.

Now, with 20,000,000 Americans having finally gotten coverage, the Novelty Act gets to interfere with it to create "something terrific!"

    This should be fun!

We're talking about people's health, not microwave ovens. There's a distinction if you think about it long enough.

That coverage is a phantasy because of a useless out of pocket and deductible. Go ahead and argue THAT!

Why in the world would you criticize Trump for taking advantage of existing business climat, existing loopholes and existing laws? Has he broken any? Are you talking about high moral, perhaps?

Has Trump been a president for at least 100 days already? Has he done or not done anything to point out as hypocritical?

Yea.. keep loving doing whatcha doing :)

Do you have any idea what a zero out of pocket and zero deductible policy would cost? Have you compared Medicare plans in your area?

There is, and there isn't. Those jobs Trump brought back? That means you have hundreds of people who now have the means to pay for their health coverage instead of living off the government teat. It means you have people now buying food in supermarkets that weren't before, stuff for their homes, maybe even a new car or suchlike and now THOSE businesses can afford to hire some extra people - who oddly enough also can now afford their own health insurance, or are at least contributing for some of it. It means you have an economy on the rebound.

It's something the left in this country somehow failed to learn in college: More jobs = better economy.

How does Obama get credit for it? If that's the case why did so many other companies move their manufacturing overseas during Obama's Presidency?
