I am sure I put in a post or thread about Boris's intention to make it easier to get rid of Judges - a usual step taken by a regime with an authoritarian intention...but I cannot find it.

Surprise, surprise our courts do not intend on taking it lying down and it would appear I was right in thinking that it was their judgements in respect of the legality of Boris shutting down Parliament which appears to be the motivation.

I don't know him very well but Michael Howard was sensible in not making it against the law in the UK to deny the holocaust so I am thinking that his desire to take away the independence of our courts and give that power to Government is possibly a sign of him being in his dotage - or is it because the Tory Party now answers first to the US and Israel? Certainly from what I have read Trump has managed to **** up the US judiciary for decades to come. I guess we should not be surprised if his twin in the UK wants to do similar.
