The Fox Business Network announced on Friday that it had parted ways with Trish Regan, the conservative news host who ignited controversy earlier this month when she dismissed the coronavirus pandemic as a conspiracy to throw President Trump out of office.
"We thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors," the network said in a statement to CNN Business. "We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis."

I must say that I am glad to see Fox do the right thing.

Even though this action came a month late, and Regan should have been immediately fired (last month) for spreading conspiracies and disinformation, it is better late than never.

Hopefully Fox will do a better job in the future of making sure that their on-air correspondents avoid referencing absurd conspiracies.

I applaud Fox's decision to fire Regan.

Do you agree with this firing?

Yes. He should also be "let go".

Here is a great video showing how the Faux News Hypocrites backpedaled:

Trish Regan has sounded like she was going off the deep end for a long time. This was probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

Hannity's ratings far exceed Regan's, apparently.

So many at Fox were spewing Trump's fake and irresponsible nonsense regarding the threat from COVID-19, they were goose-stepping in lock formation, and the sudden about-face left Regan already marching off the cliff.

Of course the "hoax" is not the threat of China Virus 19.....it is how the left wing media is prone to portray it. Doom and devastation is in their interest before the 2020 election.

Obviously the virus is not a hoax, but if anyone thinks the democrats and main street media are not using this as a way to attack Trump then for the sake of your loved ones, please get the help you need. You can get a GHD online now, you don't have to go back to school and sit with the kids.

Democrats don’t need to use the Coronavirus to attack Trump; he self-inflicts himself on a daily basis. Trump’s first true test as a president and his marks are worse then the mortician who does his makeup each morning.

The network would go under if he fired Hannity. If Fox ever fired Hannity for any reason, their viewers would just stop watching. Hannity could use the N-word and his conservative base would continue to support him (perhaps even more so than before).

    Agreed.

Also, it goes without saying that Faux's State-Sponsored Propaganda is absolutely essential to Trump.

I don't care what they do with their personnel actions but I do care that we wound up the hysteria about this virus and hit our economy hard. We didn't do that with any of the former corona viruses - some of which killed a lot more people than this one will. I don't think the hysteria is an impeachment scam. But I do think some of it was motivated by anti-Trumpism.

Other corona viruses had no where near as many cases as this one in the equivalent time. For example, in the UK by July 2009, 29 people had died from swine flu in 3 months. The coronavirus has claimed over 1000 deaths in three weeks

We know the number of deaths but we don't know the number of infections. Swine flu killed upwards of 1/2 million people worldwide in 2009. I would surmise that the UK was fortunate.

The estimates as quoted in 2009 were much much lower. The same will be found in current quotes of deaths from coronavirus where estimates in years to come will greatly magnify the estimated number of deaths from coronavirus.

    For example:
Swine Flu reported deaths in 3 months from first case: 29th April 2009 first US death. By month 3, number of reported deaths in US by July 2009 =477

    Now compare to Coronavirus:
First death in US: 1st March 2020
By week 4 number of deaths = over 2000

So four times as many in a third of the time

IMO the number of infections is not relevant as most people will never be tested which was the same as for swine flu

In less than a week the death rate in America has gone from less than 100 per day to more than 500 per day.

    Yeah, it’s all “hysteria”.

Really? The last Gallup poll showed Trump’s virus handling approval at 60% and his disapproval at 38%.

The same pattern occurs if you take worldwide figures. I purposely gave you US stats because the US were hit the greatest by Swine Flu than any other western country

I'm still trying to figure out why flu deaths, going back to last October 21st, have ranged from 162 to 418 a day. Why isn't that hysteria?

Did they shut down the country and shutter the economy because of the Flu?

    I must have missed.that.
