Freeze your credit!!!

    I just freezed by credit with all three consumer credit agencies in the USA.

    Experian, Equifax and Transunion.

    This means no credit can be issued for me until I choose to undo the freeze.

    I did it online for Equifax and Experian, and over the phone with Transunion.

    because my personal info was compromised by the Equifax hack

    Oh, right. I thought you may be afraid of getting into debt, or your wife had your credit card.

    I have a credit line of £15,000 (about $20,000) on my credit card, which I never eat into.

    Sorry if I burst anyone's bubble . . .

    But freezing your credit is a waste of time. Your data has already been compromised. And one of the the biggest culprits in this sorry state of affairs is your government.

    cant open a new account in my name if my credit is frozen.
