From my (french) point of view. Driving or having a gun is as much a freedom than a responsibility. In either way, you get an engine who can kill people if you're not carefull with. I regret there is not a better gun right in France. The telford and rotherham case show me that not having weapons make you totally dependant of the state for your own security but sometimes the state can refuse to protect you. It's what happened in UK, it's what is happening in south america too. So I'm for the right of people to have a gun, but with a permit. However, what I says stand for my own country only.
