From Nanny State To Orwell’s ‘Big Brother’

It is clear from these abhorrent events that Americans are in the midst of a real war, declared on them by power hungry Democrat politicians, with the virus merely serving as an excuse. And while this situation is truly frightening in its ramifications, it also presents a golden opportunity for conservative America, but only if conservative Republicans will seize the moment and go on the attack. They must highlight the two starkly differing realities of life in America that lay before us, and who is responsible for them. The contrast could not be more obvious.

Too many Americans, and particularly those millennials who have been indoctrinated by government schools, have accepted the lies of “socialist utopia,” in which life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are forfeited. In their place is offered meager subsistence, along with the empty promise of supposed “security.”

It is time for free Americans to stand up to Orwellian big-state Democrat totalitarianism. We are Americans and we will no longer give up our religious liberty, economic freedom, and God given individual rights. The over reach by some is not acceptable and conservatives must resist it.

I didn’t realize it was Democrats who ordered citizens all over the US to shut down businesses and social distance, let alone had the power to actually do such. Didn’t the WH originally institute guidelines for social distancing? Aren’t states free to do what they want regarding opening up? Surely all red stated are fully opened up, right?

Then there was Thomas Jefferson, "A government powerful enough to give you everything you want is powerful enough to take everything the government wants." In other words, what the government giveith, the government can take away and more.

It's amazing how some can read these guidelines and see the authority for someone like Los Angeles Mayor Gil Garcetti to arrest someone for being alone in the park or on a beach without a mask and a good reason for not being under a rock. THAT is dumocrat thinking. Like Southpark's Eric Cartman and "Respect my authoriti".

Remain calm. Do your best to maintain your responsibilities. Take reasonable action to keep things safe. And remember, there is no such thing as "Too much ammunition".

In other words, Dems don’t have the power to implement social distancing in every state. There were also Repubs who implemented social distancing in red states too.

 

And? Every state had guidelines by their Governor and the governors followed the guidelines set by the CDC and the president's council..But yet you only bitch about the Dems, how weak.. Why, states that didn't have stay at home orders shut down and are still opening slowly...Whaa is all I hear...Don't like it, get elected and change the rules..

The Republican Governor of Florida opened up most counties, but has kept three closed until the last few days. Was he a good good guy for opening up the rest of the state - but a tyrant for keeping those three shut? Was Florida's governor a tyrant
for shutting down any of the state in the first place? Was he just a weak puppet for a month? Is he a secret Democrat for
keeping three counties shut down longer?
