The polls are starting to go back in favor of Newsom not being removed and some polls has him extending his lead.

This is good news for the Govenor who is hoping to beat a recall election this month.

Larry Elder is still the top Republican but he still is not high in the polls averaging less than 30%. Even if he somehow won he would lose in 2022 in the next election.

If Gavin Newsom continues to see positive trends in the polls and with the massive voter advantage he will have I'm predicting he will be re-elected. We will soon find out.

Newsom will keep his office regardless of what the voters do. Elder will run for Senate next year. My crystal ball isn't all that clear, however, so take that prediction with a bowl of salt.

California is filled with too many racist bigots to ever allow someone like Larry Elder to get elected - especially in positions of power. They think he's too uppity and doesn't know his place.

I live in California and can remember the last recall when Arnold won.

Thing is people liked Arnold and Gray Davis was as gray as his name implies.

I've met Arnold in person and he is exactly as he seems, personal and a little impish. Likeable in other words.

Trouble is the Republicans have now positioned themselves as a party whose politicians and supporters must hate Democrats or be characterized as R.I.N.Os to pass the purity test. Their best hope Larry Elder doesn't fall far from that comparison.

It's kinda hard to get elected in a state where the vast majority of voters feel you despise them from the get go.

I despise the Democratic party and for good reason.

Tuesday we will see what happens.

    Who are you voting for?

Latest polls has Larry Elder climbing to almost 40% (several polls show over 30% and one shows 39%) which is only good news for him if the first question to recall Newsom passes.

Polls show people against the recall anywhere from 50% to 60% so it is unlikely Gavin will be recalled.

However if the recall question passes then voters must decide who to elect and Gavin Newsom is telling everyone to answer the first question and leave the second one blank.

There is a very small chance that question 2 comes into play but if it does it will be a close one and Larry Elder has a descent chance of becoming Govenor for a single year before he gets voted out in the midterms.

Silly ****** Republican ****, basically having a Recall because you CAN, and wasting a whole year and millions of dollars besides. The only real offense I can see that Newsom did was winning the election. People behind this are the very epitome of dicks; "mean, stupid and annoying, generally for little or no reason"

? ~ Perhaps enough Democrats already left California that Elder actually has a chance ... :confuse:

What a bunch of b.s. If I were Newsom and won I would be tempted to say F. U. and resign.

Unfortunately, I see little chance in Elder winning the first round, as the latest 538 poll shows 56% against the recall, and only 41% for it.

The voters of California voted for a Black AG and US Senator recently and also voted heavily for her as VP of the US. The reason Elder isn’t getting wide spread support has nothing to do with his race, but rather his right wing, anti choice, anti immigrant pro Trump political views. But you already knew this.
