    Yes, but IIRC the guards who have direct interactions with prisoners (like teachers who interact with students) do not routinely carry firearms.

    It is not clear to me that the shooter actually shot at anyone but his initial target. I am not sure what information those who think the guard prevented additional deaths are using to assume this.

    I think people confuse shootings sometimes. The fact that someone in Florida was shooting at random does not mean they were in this case. I think that it is entirely likely this was a fight between two guys over a girl, where someone lost their temper and never intended to shoot anyone else.

    But maybe others have seen evidence on this I have not. It does show why having teenagers with guns is not always ideal. Tempers flare, what would have been handled by fists in the past ends up in gun play.

    It was a cop. Cops are expressly exempt from the gun free school zones act.

    law abiding people will, in Australia and Canada where laws were passed prohibiting illegal firearms people did just that

    except in countries where "asinine gun controls laws" are in effect, it's verified they do work.
    criminals in the truest sense of the word don't shoot up schools,but psychopaths do...there's no profit in shooting up schools...

    Teenagers have had guns since this nation was founded. But todays teen is not the teens we had up till the communist took over the nation and infiltrated it with violent invaders from all over the world. Took the mothers and fathers out of the homes and put in jackboot women fems their society .
    The plan was to destroy the family unit and it worked.

    You really think that’s going to solve everything when half these shooters end up killing themselves? If it was their intent to die - then they really don’t care. And if it is a personal connection to the shooting ground, then the fact that there might be guns on site really isn’t going to deter them.

    Still going to rate this story 50/50. The shooter shot the people he initially intended to shoot. Only thing that saved them was that he was a bad shot.

    Did the shooter intend to shoot anyone else? To early to tell, but if he did, then those people can be put in a saved caragory.
