Since it's bipartisan then obviously yes they share in the blame. Bipartisan simply means both are equally incompetent so I'll criticize whoever I want.

No you won't. You only blamed the dems. You said so in your 1st post.

And because your socialism wants $2000 instead of $600? Are you unemployed? Refusing to work? Talk about greedy.
They should not be giving anyone who's working or on SS any of that free money.
Give it to those who needed. Those unemployed. Those businesses hurting due to shutdowns.
Those on SS or still with full time jobs don't need the money.

I am a liberal to most all you trump people. And all you trump people are whining because you aren't getting $2000 of free money with no way for the gov't to pay.

The relief package, unveiled Monday afternoon, sped through the House and Senate in a matter of hours. The Senate cleared the massive package by a 91-7 vote after the House approved the COVID-19 package by another lopsided vote, 359-53. The tallies were a bipartisan coda to months of partisanship and politicking as lawmakers wrangled over the relief question, a logjam that broke after President-elect Joe Biden urged his party to accept a compromise with top Republicans that is smaller than many Democrats would have liked.

The amount of posters who are so clueless is absolutely amazing.
This was one of the most bipartisan votes.
And the WH Treasury Secretary was involved in the negotiatipons.

How are so many clueless as to what happens in the USA? I guess that's why an impeached narcissist cry baby claiming fake fraud of election has so many votes.
Many Americans are not educated at all to real world.

I agree emphatically on the pork spending. Personally I think government does things better when mired in gridlock - that is to say not at all.

Have you not been paying attention for the past few decades? One segment of American society has increasingly, and now more or less completely, retreated into an alternate reality where Democrats are basically Satan's minions and Trump is something akin to the risen Christ. The reaction of many of them to COVID and the reaction of virtually all to the election should confirm just how removed from reality they are.

Expecting them to understand that a bill passed with overwhelming GOP support isn't some evil Democrat plot is a complete & utter waste of time.

I understand how far removed from reality they are. Most of them think the election was stolen but can't offer up a shred of evidence.
They're delusional in conspiracy theories. Look at how they retreat from reality to far RW conspiracy theory social media because no one with real brains will believe them.

This has got to be one of the worst ton a sausage ever put out by the Congress and should be vetoed and that veto sustained and again if they want to send more money out to working people who making money then offset it in the spending. Why are we sending out this money when unemployment is not a huge problem and getting better already? My poor state of Alabama has a 4.4% unemployment rate. I don't recall how during the 6 years of non-recovery when employment was higher under Obama/Biden they were sending out thousands of dollars to citizens every 6 months. Keep the $300 additional unemployment but no reason to have a bidding auction in Congress as to who can propose the most money to people WHO ARE WORKING.

Are you for, or against Trump's $2,000 stimulus package?

Cost of bipartisan $600 stimulus package; $166 billion

Cost of Trump's $2,000 stimulus package; $533 billion

    Cost differential; $367 billion

Number of recipients, first round of stimulus checks; 160 million

    Average family size, 2020; 3.15

Number of unemployed, end of April; 23.078 million X 3.15 = 73 million recipients

Bluesguy, according to my math, near half of the first round recipients were the unemployed, single/married, and their dependents under age 17, and since April, the number of unemployed have been reduced to near 12 million.

    Thus, logically, at least 75% of our next round of stimulus checks/one-time payments will be sent to;

    a. The employed
    b. Not in labor force

Yet, 90% of congress voted for it. 90%. Rs and Ds alike.
trumps treasury secretary was deeply involved in the negotiations. This was one of the most bipartisan bills passed.

    In addition to the above.....

Bluesguy quoted: if they want to send more money out to working people who making money then offset it in the spending.

    Nearly impossible, and irrational;

Nearly 50% of our next round of stimulus checks/one-time payments will be sent out to the employed, and their dependents.

Cost of Trump's $2,000 stimulus checks; $533 billion

Nearly impossible; Amount of spending cuts needed to offset the cost; approx. $265 billion MINUS approx. $40 billion in non-defense Foreign Aid = approx. $225 billion

Irrational; If we were to cut domestic/non-defense Discretionary Spending by approx. $225 billion, because it would DE-STIMULATE the economy, thus, counterproductive to sending out stimulus checks.

Adding 1.5 trillion to a 2.4 trillion bill filled with pork is insanity. That’s what dems want now.

Dems and republicans both benefit from the billions sent overseas as much of it ends up back in DC.

I think I was pretty clear about what I think about blindly sending out money it doesn't stimulate anything and unemployment is hitting full employment levels. Make it means tested through the unemployment system. But if they insist on doing that at the least offset it with other cuts.

Why does a so-called COVID relief bill have 5000 pages of pork that has nothing to do with COVID relief? Why cant we just get a clean bill?

So bad, impeached voted out of office cry baby donnie who you voted for, SIGNED IT. So much for it the 'worst pieces of sausages in recent years,'. LOL.
Unless you agree he is the worst piece of sausage to ever hold the office of president which is why he signed the 'worst pieces of sausages in recent years,'

    https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/531632-trump-signs-relief-bill-despite-criticism
Trump signed off on the $2.3 trillion package from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla., days after he expressed displeasure with the spending outlined in the omnibus and complained that the coronavirus relief measure should include direct payments of $2,000 per person, up from $600.

When you have no response, post something even more clueless.
You are clueless about the like history of this website. You should have tried to talk about the topic instead of posting ignorance.
Oh wait, you didn't understand the topic either.

But let me clue you in. There were two parts to the bill.
The covid relief. The omnibus spending bill to keep the gov't open until Sept.

What is your source for information? Perhaps find real sources.

    Prior to Nov 3

Lemme guess, you also think the election was stolen. LOL.
