Before that, Trump never said Nazis were very fine people!!!

And before that, there was no Russian collusion!!!!

    But THIS time?????

If the states and the city mayors did what Field Marshall Von Bonespurs wanted to do it would fail and backfire and we would be in open rebellion. The station was not good this week but far from open rebellion.

She was afraid to do what was the right thing to do back but even Romney only one half way voted.

This Republican senator just admitted what we've all known about the GOP for a while now
Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-largeUpdated 5:33 PM ET, Thu June 4, 2020

(CNN)Sen. Lisa Murkowski said the quiet part out loud.

Asked her thoughts Thursday about former Defense Secretary James Mattis' excoriation of President Donald Trump's behavior in the aftermath of the police killing of George Floyd, the Alaska Republican said this:

"When I saw General Mattis' comments yesterday I felt like perhaps we are getting to a point where we can be more honest with the concerns that we might hold internally and have the courage of our own convictions to speak up."

    Which, whoa!

Make no mistake what Murkowski is acknowledging here: that many of her fellow Republicans -- and, presumably, her colleagues in the Senate -- have long held deep doubts about Trump and his conduct, but have lacked the courage of their convictions to speak out about those worries.

    ... https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/04/politics/lisa-murkowski-donald-trump-jim-mattis/index.html

It's time for Republicans to have a collective look in the mirror and do some deep reflecting.

I didn't think it was all that far from "open rebellion". Curfew orders were ignored. There were vehicular attacks on law enforcement, shootings, murders, citizens were left at the mercy of the mob, etc. Rioters overran police stations. What additional steps would be needed for you to consider it "in open rebellion"?

When I try to think of people that really have their fingers on the pulse of the beating heart of the Republican Party, people that really know how Republicans collectively feel about an issue, I know that I always put Lisa Murkowski at the top of my list. In fact, she even tops Chris Cillizza, amazing as that might be to hear.:roll::roll:

ETA: You'll please pardon me if I don't really care what you think it's time for Republicans to do.

Open rebellion would involve much more use of weapons, Rebels holding territory for a time,
Right now what we have in looting and some rioting along with civil disopediance. Overuse of force could push them into open rebellion.
That is why what Trump wants to do is stupid.

Calling Murkowski a republican is like calling Obama smart. It's a fantasy.

They are using weapons: improvised projectiles and melee weapons, molotov cocktails, vehicles, and in some cases firearms. They held Minneapolis' third precinct for a night (here is a video of the police retreat). They've routinely held large portions of the downtown areas of several major metropolitan areas for hours at a time, if not days.

    Worthless words.

The GOP senators and House representatives are all weasels. That's what Murkowski is admitting here. At least she has finally admitted it publicly.

"I think he's a kook. I think he's crazy. I think he's unfit for office." --Lindsay Graham on Trump in 2016
"Donald Trump is a delusional narcissist and an orange-faced windbag." --Rand Paul in 2016
"Whatever lie he's telling, at that minute he believes it ... the man is utterly amoral." --Ted Cruz on Trump in 2016

But now anyone who says anything negative about Trump is a "RINO" because reasons and stuff.

But between the state police, national guard , sherif departments and local police Minneapolis is at a point where the officials were able to allow a memorial activity which was peacefull today. Again bringing in the federal troops should be the last resort.

Hate to crush your ego I will go with what Gen. Mattis said not you.

Sad that except for a few real Republicans most all have sold their souls to Satan.

I'm thinking that selling your soul is a prerequisite for getting into Congress these days. Price of admission, so to speak.

We'll sort of true but for Congress you sell your soul to the lobbyists / special interests. To get re-elected as a Republican or to not get primaried you need to sell your soul to Satan.

Afraid that you are right . I was giving her credit for even mouthing that thought. She did indeed fold up like an accordian at a Polish wedding when it came to impeach that guy.

Assuming she isn't wished away into the cornfield. President Mumy doesn't take kindly to Republicans stepping out of line.

So....declare your hand. Are there any other Republican people in Congress who, in you opinion, are not doing a good job? Or are they only not doing a good job if and when they criticise Trump?
