Trump was behind it and singing its praises, promising "great health care" and encouraging Congress to make it happen. And now he's blaming John McCain for voting against it. So don't try to distance Trump from it.

If by chance that was the actual issue I address, you would have a point. What has happened however is NOT the incidents but rather Trumps reaction to it. By basically lending his voice of support to the Alt-Right and supremacists he has become their defacto leader rather than leader of the United States and this alienates the constituents of EVERY congress person across the board. Those who continue to be with him will be against ther bosses and hear it in every town hall, letter and voting booth until they are voted out.

The GOP is not turning on Trump. He still has the same support he had after winning the nomination.

We will see nothing more than statements saying racism=bad. The Republicans who have turned on him openly already did so prior to this. The next thing Trump does will be the same. Some short statement how what Trump did was bad or concerning.

The GOP will only turn on Trump if he loses enough voter support. Trump still polls very high with republican voters. In the 70-80% range. The GOP will not turn against Trump unless they see unsettling election results in places they tend to dominate. The Senate race in Alabama will very likely go to a Republican. The candidates have hitched their wagon to Trump. If the Republicans do not win by the large margin Sessions usually won by there maybe some concern. If they lose supporters in Alabama that would hint they likely have lost a lot more support in other areas of the country. Places they do not tend to dominate and have close races.

These guys want to get reelected. If polls and election results say people are sticking with the Republican party they will not openly act against Trump. The only thing that will make them is if Mueller finds something very damning and has enough evidence to prove it. I do not imagine money laundering would be enough, unless Trump was laundering money for ISIS. They will find a way to justify it and claim the investigation over reached.

The only other scenario I see them openly turning on him is if Trump tries to do something like declare marshal law, disband Congress and/or openly defying the courts beyond verbal attacks.

They stuck by him publicly so far and will continue to do so unless they perceive their reelection threatened.

It would seem you wish to do as he did, sidestep any condemnation and thereby support Trump without coming strait out and committing suicide by voicing your actual ugly position. Anyone who cannot see the clear and obvious in this is either purposefully ignorant or embarrassed to admit it.

You responded to my simple question without providing an answer because you cannot. Youre just to dishonest to admit it.

Okay....allow me to make it more clear for you

Donald Trump has yet to state the obvious and condemn those responsible. He has avoided directly opposing the individuals and groups considered White Supremacists and in doing so has shown support for which they thank him and celebrate. This combined with his lifelong history of discrimination (see court decisions) clearly indicate he has racist tendencies and wishes to maintain the support of this part of society. Though he cannot simply come out and decry he is part of this movement because of his position and cowardice he most clearly is.

He refuses to alienate them and lose their votes. This morning he is on his grandstand about protecting traitor monuments...

Being that he is from the South this is obviously an issue close to his heart.

Oh spare me your over dramatization.

If you look up what the word genius actually means, yes I think Trump has portrayed genius in certain areas of life, as a whole? Haha, hell no.... But he has taken the skills he has developed and turned a sum of money given to him into a massive empire and now the office of the President. He is doing SOMETHING right, even though yes, we know you hate him with all your soul.

But my point, which you COMPLETELY IGNORED all so you could invent a way to attack Trump personally (something I find frustrating as it becomes more and more common on this forum) was that you Liberals have created diametrically opposing stories. One that involves either a decade of Trump planning and scheming which yes, would require a certain bit of genius. Or, of course the other hand which claims he is LITERALLY retarded. Like no joke, several have called him mentally handicapped.

So I ask, why do Democrats like yourself do this? I can definitely see how it works on the masses, but if you truly think about the "math" of it..... there is none. So which do you believe?

Firstly....I am neither liberal or Democrat (which you would know with minimal research).

Secondly...your options are both incompatible with the reality.

Finally...Trumps personal fortune is unconfirmed and his business practices have resulted in many lawsuits and fraud which has eliminated his U.S banking opportunities. Banking outside the U.S. (which he tells others not to do) has indications of laundering funds for individuals and nations that are less than upstanding. There is likely very good reason he "Changed his mind" concerning the release of his taxes that do not involve avoiding paying them.

You didn't identify how he "supported the supremacist". "Avoided directly opposing" isn't support. AND he condemned them.

“Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."

AND using your logic, Obama supported radical Islam his entire presidency.

    Trump opposes racism.

“Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."

And this is what you oppose.
