au Contraire... What is actually BS is your inability to understand the implications of your own talking points. What actually happens when you take away gasoline or diesel? Food doesn't walk itself to the stores, does it? Something will have to convey it. So, all of the actual industrial and manufacturing processes that make stuff essentially stops, does it not? No reliable energy at scale equals zero industrial output. So, dream if you will, but the ability of the economy to devoid itself from petroleum products isn't able to produce this utopia you wish you could experience. So, best you take the original advice. Do your part. unplug. Don't play on the internet. Grown your own. Don't heat or cool your house. Park you car. This is, afterall what you've demanded everyone else do to satisfy your dream. The very least you can do is eat your own dog food.
Only idiots believe government is going to remove all gasoline and diesel and end the US economy! I do my part and it costs me a few extra $$ but I'm not yet destitute! From my perspective, none of this is about ME...it's about what is in the best interest of the US and the world long-term? Contrary to your finite wisdom, humans ARE NOT good stewards of Earth, we are abusing it's resources, and we are contributing pollution to our streams, lakes, oceans and atmosphere, all of which will alter Earth's environment with potential horrific effects to humans...

Our business is run organically and in our personal life we try to minimize our footprint. I don't need to be a 'feel good' person to understand scientific potential/theory and to do my part. If you wish to debate my comments then do so. I won't waste my time on you to explain pollution...ask a 3rd grader to explain it to you. And, I won't waste my time on you to explain the potential effects of global climate change...again some 3rd graders can explain it to you...
