Yea, Texas is growing really fast, and the people moving there are pro choice and support LGBTQ rights.

I can't help but notice that the only negative numbers on this map are all red states.

Indeed! Blue state folks moving there, classing it up, bringing money and jobs….

Republicans in House elections received a higher percentage of the vote than in the previous two elections. The Rio Grand Valley which was once a deep shade of blue, is now purple.

This is tongue in cheek... right?

Or... are you just oblivious to what has become of those liberal bastion cities such as Portland, Seattle, San Fransisco, New York, Denver, Austin...

By classing it up... you mean like this?

You can keep your class if this is what your are preaching.

Just cities like Austin. The state itself is a pretty badass state in many ways. Same with Oregon. Oregon is a great state, however the liberal bastion Portland is a waist of space on this continent!

Where is most of the Texas GDP is generated?

Now, guess what those "green" (>$100 billion) places on the map are and how they vote.

Weird. DeSantis 'The Meatball' is on TV every day telling us the Florida is leading the nation, but it turns out Florida and California share the same numbers.........Honest mistake or a lying tongue?

From the link....hmmm.....it doesn't look like the economy is in the tank like we are told.....Why are we told the economy is in terrible shape. Or is the OP some kind of DNC activist spouting fake economic news?

Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased in 47 states and the District of Columbia in the third quarter of 2022, with the percent change in real GDP ranging from 8.7 percent in Alaska to –0.7 percent in Mississippi (table 1), according to statistics released today by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).

Current-dollar GDP increased in all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the third quarter, with the percent change ranging from 10.4 percent in Oregon to 2.3 percent in North Dakota.

Personal income increased in all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the third quarter, with the percent change ranging from 14.2 percent in Colorado to 1.4 percent in Kentucky (table 4).

Soon to follow, the same Californian tax policies that made them leave in the first place, the more and more purple Texas gets.

It’s ironic how you can exactly overlay these maps yet Republicans will still try and take credit for it.

Those aren't the ones coming to Texas. The economy is so good here, you have to be a real screwup to be homeless.

Austin is good as well. The tech bros with graduate degrees are realizing they have to share blocks with oil workers who might not even have a bachelors but earn more, and it's working out fine.

It's going to get harder and harder to get elected in Texas if you are talking about anti trans, banning abortion or banning honest discussions about racism in schools.

Whatever you say but......the fact is that vast majority of the GDP even in Texas is generated in the blue metro areas like Dallas, Houston, Austin etc. All in all those blue metros generate 85% of US economic output, and NYC metro alone generates as much as entire Canada. Its just the nature of the beast, - jobs are in cities, and most people live and work in cities and corporate HQs are in cities. Its ironic the OP celebrates this without realizing this fact.

This pics is from Texas, but its just silly to find a pic like you did and pretend the whole State, or City looks like that

Freezing temperatures are dangerous for homeless people. Shelters are urging Texans to come in off the streets.

Well they will wise up real quick when they realize that those “high paying jobs” arent that high because the tax burden has changed to be 100% on the backs of the individual because they have a Zero Corporate tax rate. Those “great” salaries become average when they have to pay the taxes for the services and infrastructures used by those corporations.

Maybe at some point we will realize the US has a homelessness problem that we should all want to help improve. Right now, half of us are happy to talk about the homelessness problem, but only when it can be used to score political points.

California has now through over 4.8 BILLION over the last 2 years to curve the homeless issue. It has since grown exponentially.

I am TOTALLY ready to have the conversation. However, the issue is most need to be institutionalized. We need to spend the money appropriately and get these people into mental care. The worst thing this nation did was close down our mental hospitals.
