I am - all preventable causes of injury should be addressed The point here is preventable and my point is how the Americans react to the mention of guns You cannot mention it in relation to accidental deaths because it has become entangled with the myth of "my cold dead hands"
This is classic fear mongering. Because for children under 18 the accidental death rate is like less than 150 every year. When you start talking about 'children' older than 13, then your really taking about young criminals doing something illegal with guns rather than playing with a gun. I doubt you even know what is the death rate.

Wouldn't you say that someone adamantly advocating strong limits on guns on the grounds of a nearly insignificant statistic about children's deaths, while completely disregarding more significant statistics about equally preventable bicycle deaths, is probably just pushing an emotional agenda and really doesn't care about the logic of any argument?
