Has PF been hacked ?

Anyone who hacks someone because of a political thread or opinion is a gutless coward. Its happened to me and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

No , Hat , I'm not sure it came from PF or even FB .

whoever has whacked me is a very clever person , with access to PC's and advanced equipment ... expensive equipment , and well connected .

I was concerned that it came from the new link to FB ...

As far as I know , only Flounder & myself have been whacked .

Being as how Flounder is known and well respected for his fair posts and fair dealings with his posts , I am persuaded that this attack was directed at me , and Flounder is totally without any blame on this .

I know I am a horses ass at times , and I accept all responsibility .

whoever is doing this , if you will leave my friends alone , I will leave PF , if that's what it takes to safeguard my friends .

otherwise , when my tax return come in , I'm gonna spend every dime of that $2,700 dollars tracking you down .

This same person hacked into my facebook account about 2 yrs. ago. I went through hell trying to get back into my own account. They also sent me a nasty p.m. here at P.F.

I have a suspicion who it could be but I can't judge unless I know for a fact.

Now the facebook PF page is no big deal. If a person feels that they are being discovered for who they are, they shouldn't have a facebook account to begin with or take out personal information. They also have the ability to block P.F. Geez, I am glad we have a profile.

 

To me it seems emails have been getting hacked a lot over the last year. As I have gotten several emails from people telling me not to open anything from them because they have been hacked.

I am sure many already do as I do: have three or more emails. One for junk that you give out to sign up on forums and board around the net. Another for family and maybe friends. A third for business etc.... This way your Junk email is the most vulnerable and least damaging to you, family and friends.

 

You may be correct in criticizing hillbillies concern or maybe not. I do know due to me receiving a virus by unknown means and the research that I had to do to protect my other computers (primarily the one at the mission) that a very good dedicated hacker is impossible for a personal computer owner OR an server to defend against. I was told that by an HP engineer in India (of course) and by a close friend who writes programs for Texas Instruments who IS a hacker, (he swears he is not a malicious hacker but just does it for a 'hobby').

I also read several books on the subject (or the chapters that addressed the problem) because I had hacker problems for nearly a year. Finally I think the despicable bastard simply got tired of punishing me for whatever it was that pissed him or her off. The attack cost me a good computer, I had my IP banned, it cost me bags of anti virus etc software, hardware routers etc, untold hours of time, and nearly a thousand dollars for professional help, no not mental, ha ha but for computer advice etc. I also switched physical address of the computer and the way I connected to the net (from cable modem to sat). Lastly I have an idea of who it was, but can not prove it, well one or two ideas. My first is a computer person that works for HP/Comp. He called me after I sent my computer in to HP for warranty work. He wanted almost a hundred dollars an hour to fix a problem! To say I declined was a understatement, it was warranty work! After all that he suggested I had questionable material on my computer, like it was a threat or something. He had an Indian accent. So I think he inserted something in my computer! Maybe I am simply paranoid against Muslim or anti Christian types but ....

Anyway I dont know if PF had a problem with hackers or not. It seems now that they have fixed the problem by normal means, so that means no hacker. Additionally its my personal opinion that a hacker would not be interested in hacking member accounts. He would want to punish PF not its members, that's just a guess eh?

This middle one is the one you want it is the button I use to multiquote.

...you don't sound sure.

Go to each post you want to quote and click that button on each post.

That selects the posts. You don't have to also click a quote button, you are clicking the instead of the quote button.

When you've finished choosing posts, scroll down to the bottom of the thread and find this button:


Click on it. It will put all your posts into a reply window.

Once you've done that, you just have to write your comments in between the posts and click "Submit Reply" to post it.

Have a go and let me know. If you don't get it, maybe would be better to actually talk you through it via pm or your profile page while you are actually doing it.

 

well now Liberalminority , I guess since I started this it's up to me to squash it .

I recieved 4 e-mails from a friend , none of them had a message , only a link. I thought that was odd , but as it was from a friend , I opened it .

all 4 had different links . the 1st one had a really cool app for a cell phone.

I didn't open the last 2 , but the first 2 had references to some person on FB by the name Rob Repp , and also a wiki referance .

not knowing where the whack was coming from , I decided to make a thread to ask if anyone else was having trouble ? As far as I know , no one else has , so I'll wait a few days and see what happens , but I don't think it came from the new FB link .

As far as maggots operating on PF ,Mossad definitely does i can tell you who is as well ,its the form of consistant argument they use its scripted as no normal person would use the words ,'Any criticism of Israel is Anti-semitic' ,for example.

Its not that agents constantly sit reading its done automatically ,crickey ,Newsflash Capitialist Governments are sneaky,corrupted things that hate free speech.

Oh and the threats one recieves from other users about reports to the FBI and such.

 

I use separate emails for forums, shopping, bills, personal emails, work emails, etc. It is a bit cumbersome but I don't want to be up a creek if one account gets hacked. My forum email could get hacked and it won't make a difference. I have no contacts in that address book. I actually sign up for all kinds of random stuff with that forum email address account.
