"Some recent US figures on the distribution of income by party: 65 percent of taxpayer households that earn more than $500,000 per year are now in Democratic districts; 74 percent of the households in Republican districts earn less than $100,00 per year. Add to this what we knew already, namely that the 10 richest congressional districts in the country all have Democratic representatives in Congress. The above numbers incidentally come from the Internal Revenue Service, via Bloomberg, and are likely to be more reliable than if they came "from Project Veritas via theblaze.com."

Something that is blindingly obvious but rarely mentioned. The Democratic Party is really The Plutocratic Party.

They say tax the rich and they are the rich.

They say Trump and Republicans are for the rich as if that's a bad thing (maybe it is) while being rich and looking out for the rich.

Hollywood is also most rich Democrats.

Lol, they are both a bunch of rich ****s, bleeding the country dry for more riches. Neither party cares about helping Americans. They care about securing votes and securing their own power.

I don't think the wealthy elite have any realistic party loyalty, but rather they find the coerced compliance to social conformity that leftism values as a more useful tool to attain power monopoly. The enemy of monopoly is competition, and competition is the enemy of leftism. The wealthy elite being above all hardcore Machiavellians of course latch on to the enemy of their enemy and pretend to be its friend ...so long as it remains a useful 'friend'.

The elite bought the Democratic Party. I agree that the elite want a more structured society to enhance their power. And to accomplish that they need to dismantle the traditional institutions of our society. Note that this is the avowed goal of the Democrats, the fundamental transformation of Anerica: out with the old and in with the new.

Maybe we're rich because we don't have trump resorting to every trick in the book to squeeze every nickel he can out of our wallets. (pun intended)

No that's not it. They're rich because capitalism works.

Seems on there so against it but maybe it's just pulling the ladder up behind them

I think the problem is the shrinking, small tent, Republican party mindset. If wasn't too long ago where the majority of people in suburbia in upper middle class neighborhoods were republican. The problem is the current party is alienating educated voters. Voters with college degrees in the high income professions are viewed as RINOs. If the party only caters to rural America the income levels will be on average much lower. If you trust your gut more than science and assume universities and colleges are just bastions of liberal brainwashing then your population probably will not be working in professional fields.

You may be too young to remember, or old enough to have forgotten .. but the Left used to be the Party of the Peasantry.

The 21stC Left is free to be the Party of the Elites of course - as long as they stop pretending they're still for the little guy. No one is still buying that BS, given who these folk are and how they play the game.

    Bingo!

That sums up the modern Left perfectly. They're working hard to reduce independence (because independence leads to competition).

If I had been you, I would have been ashamed when I saw those numbers.

Over 55% of college graduate voters and 60% of university graduates are Democrats.

In doing so, the more education you get, the higher your salary.

So considering that Democrats are generally more educated than Republicans, they make more money.

The Republican Party gave wealthy people a huge tax cut and then wrote the law so that the tax cuts for the middle class would expire, but the cuts for large corporations would not. Didn't this law favor the wealthy and the corporations. If Democrats now favor the wealthy why are they trying to change this law?

    The Jobs act of 2017

The Act is based on tax reform advocated by congressional Republicans and the Trump administration.[7] The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that under the Act individuals and pass-through entities like partnerships and S corporations would receive about $1.125 trillion in net benefits (i.e. net tax cuts offset by reduced healthcare subsidies) over 10 years, while corporations would receive around $320 billion in benefits. The CBO estimated that implementing the Act would add an estimated $2.289 trillion to the national debt over ten years,[8] or about $1.891 trillion after taking into account macroeconomic feedback effects, in addition to the $9.8 trillion increase forecast under the current policy baseline and existing $20 trillion national debt.[9]

Many tax cut provisions, especially income tax cuts, will expire in 2025,[10] and starting in 2021 will increase over time; this, by 2027 would affect an estimated 65% of the population and in that same year the law's provisions are set to be fully enacted,[11] however, corporate tax cuts are permanent.

Don't confuse personal party affiliation with the average affiliation of the location in which they leave. I didn't read the article but your comments tell me the data is meaningless. Although, without data, I agree with your premise.

Democrats in the upper income levels are hypocrite moralizing poseurs. Democrats at the lower income levels are average people just trying to get through life, and vainly hoping the government will help them.

Then why did Trump and his GOP henchmen pass tax legislation which helped greatly expand the wealth of the already wealthy and now Biden wants to reverse that trend and raise the upper tax limit on the wealthy and increase corporate tax rates. That speaks for itself as to which party FAVORS the wealthy.

You do not improve conditions for the poor by raising taxes on the rich. You do it by encouraging strong economic growth. Biden's policies will kill the economy.

Of what am I supposed to be ashamed?

Democrats don't have to be ashamed either, unless it is because they proclaim their desire to help the poor and the poor don't like ythe Democrats. The Democrats must be doing something wrong or they are dishonest.
