    Dennis, I hope I reduced your fears that Greenland will slide into the ocean. But now you charged to the opposite pole and now you fear the Antarctic? Well there too the enormous mountains are not conducive to massive amounts of ice landing into the ocean.

    How much has the ocean level risen due to this weather event ?? How much Greenland ice melts every summer ??

    This image of how the West Antarctic Ice Sheet is below sea level will give you a good idea why it is especially vulnerable to rapid cracking and sliding...... especially if it was ever hit by a tsunami or something like that.

    Depending on what percentage of water eventually ends up back in the depleted underground aquifers all over the world large scale desalination of ocean water could actually make a massive difference.

    I am not talking about merely two or three replicas of Sorek coming into operation over the next fifty years:

    With a world Derivatives Market of seven hundred and ten trillion back in 2014.....
    with the possibility confronting us of the Derivatives market taking a one hundred trillion dollar meltdown......

    much of them may as well be diverted into something that is truly win - win - win - win - win....... There are other options as well.....

    If the ice sheet melts (how many years will it take to do so) how much will the oceans rise ??? Notice that the cartoon shows no access to the ice sheet by warm ocean currents. The Arctic ice sheet does not melt due to air temperature. It melts due to cyclical warm ocean currents.

    Good points.... yes.. the West Antarctic Ice Sheet has some protection but..... it still is quite vulnerable.....

    but this is only valid for the Arctic ice that is floating in the Arctic Ocean....
    the land based Greenland Ice Pack... the land based global glaciers and the part of the West Antarctic Ice that is above sea level......(sitting on ice that is below sea level)... is another matter altogether.........

    How long will it take to melt ??? What would be the sea level rate of rise attributable to this ?? Greenland is covered by thousands of feet of ice which melts due to warm air at the I’v surface.

    and a Carbon Tax which would be a total waste of money, time, talent and energy........ . and which would also increase the level of bureaucracy we are under......

    It is easy to tell that you do not live near the Bay of Fundy or Anchorage Alaska where the world's most extreme tides take place.

    If average ocean levels rose by eight to ten cms (3 or 4 inches) could high tide...

    ... rise by one meter in the Isthmus of Chignecto in Nova Scotia, Canada?
    This question is logical because the geography of Canada's Bay of Fundy produces the world's highest tides. In my part of Nova Scotia in Guysborough County there is very little funnelling of tidal waters......... so high tide is only about one to one point five meters above low tide.

    In the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy high tide levels are up by ten to fifteen meters.

    That depends on a lot of factors that I can't control or easily predict but......

    with a one hundred trillion dollar meltdown in the Derivatives market hanging over our heads getting geared up
    to desalinate water on a much more grand scale is a good way to keep ocean levels more stable.

    If the ocean rises by 3" the high tide rises by 3".

    But you continuously avoid my questions ?? Why is that.

    That rate would result in the entire Antarctic ice mass melting in the year 3079. Chances are that we would be in the initial stages of the next ice age by then. That's going to be a real mess.

    I am not actually alarmed....
    I see all this as an opportunity to transform the world economy in many positive ways!

    I want to know that I tried my best to warn people about what will probably happen.....
    especially residents of the town of Truro, N. S. and the city of Moncton, N. B., and Anchorage, Alaska but ultimately this is a challenge that
    can so shock humanity that we snap out of relative sleep and avoid another 1929 type of scenario.

    Responding to a BEAR market vs a Bull market?
