Bud, there is video footage of a guy pointing a gun point blank at his face as he lay on the ground.
"Hypocrisy" is Everywhere...
Trump has had a lot to say about the Fifth Amendment in the past.
“You see the mob takes the Fifth,” he said. “If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”
Trump took Fifth Amendment more than 440 times in refusing to answer New York attorney general’s questions
On BOTH Sides...
Welcome to Politics 101...
Racist I will use when I see clear examples but the rest? Godwin’s law
What “mob trying to kill him”?
Idk, perhaps the guy pointing a gun in his face?
1) No one ... NO ONE, needs to know about every little deviatory iteration of the human condition, to live a good and kind life. Least of all children. Children learn kindness from watching the adults in their lives BE kind .. not from exposure to quirks and difference. A child could be exposed to every imaginable form of humanity, and still be an @sshole. Or could be raised in a cave and be the kindest human being who ever lived. You understand nothing, if you don't understand that.
2) Yeah, well Twain was a child of privilege, so his thoughts have no merit in the broader human landscape. Either way, travel does not make us saints. It won't make us magically tolerant, if we're fundamentally awful people. Some of the most objectionable people I've ever met were 'travellers'. They spent so much time feasting on the lives of those they considered exotic, that they ended up hollow, freeloading, jaded, weirdos .... who never once connected at a meaningful level with the people and places they exploited for their own entertainment. Even full immersion hardcore backpacking in the Third World won't change a thing if you remain a culturally stunted (IOW you can't take other cultures seriously) observer. Chatting with the locals, eating their food, going to their temples etc, means little if you regard them as something to observe or 'experience'. It's just live action theatre.
3) All drag shows are inherently sexual. It doesn't matter how much the spruikers try to dress it up as innocent, we all know better. The objectification of female attributes, the exageration of same, the 'blackface' contempt, the fundamental styling .. all of it has arisen out of sexual objectification and overweening focus on sexuality.
not to shoot him, to get what he believed was a mass shooter to give up
Which one are we talking about here? The woman-beater or the pedophile?
not the killer
Gun literally pointed right at his face. Unfortunately for you, the judge and jury disagree with your partisan-only views.
We’ll, with all the violent right wing homophobes threatening everyone, I think it’s a good idea to protect themselves.
remember, they thought he was a mass shooter, easy to see how that happens when someone is carrying an AR and is fleeing the scene
Yeah, that excuse sure meant a lot to the judge and jury, didn’t it? So you’re telling me they took a break and burning garbage cans and car dealerships to chase a mass shooter? LOL
I have yet to see anyone charged with a crime other then the killer
Lol…trump and hypocrisy go hand in hand, so it’s understandable.
Oh, you saw advertisements? Screenshots? Links?
I agree, a show like that would be sexual. Can you agree that a show where people aren’t doing that isn’t sexual?
Ever been to a comedy show or a concert? Are those inherently sexual?
Hey, cool opinions. Not much more to say than that, otherwise I’m just arguing with your feelings.
It is tacit admission that an AR is an excellent firearm with which to protect one's self.
Because the pedophile that threatened to kill Kyle died trying to make good on that threat.
Provide a source of a drag show that wasn’t sexual.
Pantomime Dames have been going for well over 150 years. It has not changed the sexuality of children one jot. Any more than Robin Williams in Mrs Doubtfire or Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie has or Hilary Swank as Brandon Teena.
Here you go.
No. Why? Even "family friendly" shows, like say "The Baptist Women" shows, which went out of their way to lampoon the hypocrisy of rigid reliciocity were pretty chock full of sexual innuendo. But be honest, the average drag show isn't suitable for children. They just aren't. So, why try to shoe horn them so they might be?
Here's a thought. Why do the LGBT community need to be the circus? Most of us aren't, so why do you suppose that forcing folks to engage the circus is the appropriate thing? Mark likely would disagree with your misuse of his quote.
The average concert or stand-up comedy show is not family/child friendly. So why try to shoehorn them so they might be?
It’s entertainment. Why do you think your opinion of that form of entertainment matters. No one is forced to engage with Drag. At least no more than a person is forced to engage with any other form of entertainment.
Mark Twain may have been homophobic. In that regard, you may be right. The sentiment still applies. Exposure to new people and ideas is good. It is the killer of prejudice.
