The problem with the rest of Europe (and it's a real problem), is that they've not heard of Jamaica and apparently, now, are so white bread that they call it African or central American.
I went to Amsterdam and sat in some Indonesian/Suriname place.

Hard rock / Heavy Metal / Thrash Metal bands need to draw on more varied set lists in their back catalogue, to sell tickets and draw eyeballs. Rush playing 'Closer to the Heart' for the four thousand and fiftieth time, on MTV LIVE Clockwork Angels was filler, and playing the 'best of' sets, the same encores endlessly repeated 'Iron Maiden' and doing 'Run to the Hills' etc., and McCoy of the Nephilim needs to stop doing "Watchman", "Moonchild" and "Last Exit" - metallers go to see an intense show, not merely a hit list. "Laura" one of the Nephilims best is somehow buried.

    Fields of the Nephilim- Laura

Anthrax barely touches its most intense best tracks IMO - Madhouse, A.I.R, the 'Persistence Of Time' songs were great too, a much better live show - they nearly blew Maiden off the stage opening in 1990 and way than the 'State Of Euphoria' show.
Exodus has been playing Bonded by Blood live, since I saw them with Baloff, Hunting, and Rick Hunolt in 1997, at the Showcase Theatre in Corona but they ignore their Capitol Records discs. Too bad. Force of Habit is popular with fans. Thrash and Gothic Metal bands should try to get their original drummer also - Laguna Coil was much better with Cristiano Mozzati, played double bass etc. In Thrash, the drummer is as important as the vocals.

Shades of another great band from my neck of the woods:

Their lead singer was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I've always amazed at how such a big, snarling voice came out of a gentle little dude like him. Then again, "appearances can be deceiving" pretty much sums up that band and its music.

Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) died this morning at the age of 52. :-(

Sadly, reports suggest that he took his own life...
