The first sentence of your reply there really makes a good argument for America leaning toward Buddhism over Christianity. You don't see Buddhists being shot up in Texas as they worship.
What others would see as tyranny, I see as peace of mind, social harmony and order. Just as their ideal world is tyranny to me. Unfortunately this is the way it is.
That is true. Though I think it may have to do more with aspects of Arabic masculinity that cause the violence. To my knowledge, the southeast Asian and Chinese Muslims aren't involved in terrorism in the degree that the Arabic Muslims are. Also, ironically enough, most victims of Islamic terrorism have been Muslims, rather than non-Muslims. In any case, I see a united secular West as the best hope for ending theistic tyranny. But with the Judeo-Christian conservatives and the "Hippy"-Marxist liberals causing internal conflict, the developed non-religious world will never have what it needs to erase regimes based on supernatural assumptions from the earth.
Thank you, navigator2. My political beliefs are something of a syncretic form of totalitarianism. I only wish there were others like myself.
I've been saying this for oh so long. The problem is the middle east. They've been savages for thousands of years. To use a metaphor like in the Game of Thrones, they are the world's bastards, no one wants to claim them. The far east has always been a more tolerant people, don't mess with them, and they'll leave you be. Not so with the Middle East. If they don't have westerners to harass, they'll just kill each other. (best practices there). We should just wall them off and leave them to their own devices. Unfortunately, Europe has failed here miserably by letting them in and Obama and Hillary were all for it. Trump needs to travel ban a few more countries.
In other words, will they listen like lemmings to the most immoral and corrupt political party since the Khmer Rouge, or will they show a backbone and tell democrats to stick a fork up their butts, and then give it a few good twists? We'll see, I guess. The country's eyes certainly are on Alabama. Are they men, or are they progressives?
sorry, but lefties don't have any moral standing, so you can't talk. Just one look at the pedophiles, rapists, druggies, and overall corrupt people that democrats routinely elect, and well... Do good honest people listen to Charles Manson preach about virtue? No, they don't. Can you guess why they don't listen to him? Any clue?
And back to our regularly programmed circle stroke. If you'd thought this through, had Trump's man won the primary, then you'd be bitching about something else instead.
Yes, I've thought much the same. While my reasons for wanting such a thing may differ from the average conservative American. I have always been telling Leftists that the last thing they want are more people to disagree with. I myself, am not fond of different opinions (an understatement if ever there was one) and I would much rather not let in more people who have to consult a holy text to decide what is or isn't legal. The West is full of that already. Unfortunately for me, all they ever do as an alternative is join the Republican Party instead of uniting to form something new. You are correct that the Middle-East is simply too much of a violent place. Not only with Muslims, but the wars that Jews fought between themselves in ancient times. It must be the heat, as the saying goes. I agree too that they should be left to their own devices. East and Southeast Asia are more tolerant and it does indeed show in the religions that come from there. Besides, if we no longer had to rely on oil, they are better trading partners in every way. Also, (this is not directed at you though, navigator2) to "clear up" any assumptions some might have about me, anyone's Jewish or Arabic ancestry is of no importance to me. What matters most is what's in the mind. I have nothing against anyone based on biological appearance.
If Strange had won it would have been pretty unremarkable. But Alabama instead nominated Moore...a pretend religious hero who is actually a pedophile. And even the Governor said she doesn't care if he is a pedophile...she's voting for him anyway
We just have different ideologies, so of course you think it's stupid. We are sooooo very different that the only thing we share is a common language. We have no shared moral values or virtues.
Missed the point. Christianity has created turmoil in modern day America, whereas a religion like Buddhism has not.
Yet, I’m sure you voted for the man who grabs em by the pu$$y. And then you talk about having morals, ffs.
