Start really worrying if the methane deposits on the ocean floor start releasing. And just what will we omnipotent humans do to reverse that?

Are you riding a bicycle yet? How about all those people who claim Climate Change is anthropologically driven? Have they stopped wearing their North Face nylon multi-climate parkas yet?

When those who declare climate an emergency, walk the walk, then I will consider that we may have an actual issue. But not until then.

Meaningful environmental change has to come from the top down. You can’t blame people for perpetuating a broken system when that is what is required to function in said system
I drive one and a half hours for work every day (round trip). If I had to bike that it would easily take around four hours. I’ve tried to find closer employment, but the field in which I work doesn’t have many opportunities in the areas I can afford based on my wages.
I’d be happy to change tons of habits of mine if our broken system didn’t make those changes nearly impossible.

So then, when Al Gore stops flying and moves in to a cabin made out of recycled plastic at high elevation somewhere...

Yeah it'll be easier when they ban gasoline "from the top down".

Except...they'll still be using their cars....won't they?

Banning gasoline without meaningful solutions to the issue I presented wouldn’t do anything to help fix our system, and it’s not what I was proposing.

The people I’m voting for are at least willing to admit that human caused climate change exists. It’s a baby step, but at least it’s in the right direction.

Of course, it's a never-ending supply of taxing you.

Kinda like building a train in CA, just on a grander scale.

Where I live we just finished an October that is the coldest ever recorded. The area set hundreds of "coldest high temps" on record during the month. Some of these records were not just eclipsed, but shattered. Tuesday, my town broke the record by over 7 degrees. Today is still over 20 colder than normal. The single month is looking like the average for the year is destined to be significantly lower than normal.

Al Gore is a hypocrite. No question about it.
But he is also a private citizen and I don’t expect him to lead the way on any meaningful change. I wouldn’t hold my breath on him ever practicing what he preaches.

This is the siren for authoritarian tyranny the left so often tells us they want. At some point, we have to start taking them seriously. This is what they want. Why would anyone support them ever again?

I’m okay with paying more taxes to fund advancements in renewable energy. That would be a good start. Better public transportation as well.

Don’t know what you’re referring to on the train in California though.

What about anything that I said suggested I support or am calling for authoritarian tyranny?

Would be a little nipply to take a dip in Lake Coeur d'Alene wouldn't it.

Maybe a bit off topic (I don't think so), and maybe someone better at creating threads than I could start one; how can you talk about HUMAN caused climate change without including the exploding HUMAN population? And be even more politically incorrect by noting countries that can least afford such growth use the dirtiest forms of energy as a result.

Extreme weather is accurately predicted by climate change research. I’m sure you know that though.
