I don’t think I could live in an area with people who support Trump. I know there are Republicans here but they aren’t stupid
People who support trump have different values , values I don’t respect. I judge people when they brag about grabbing women’s *******, I judge people when they support someone who thinks neo-Nazis are some good people, I judge people who are bigots. We just have different values obviously
Sounds like you have little interest in knowing how others think, and why they think it. Keep 'working with prejudice'. Sorry to burst in on ya thread, New Canadian Person, eh
can't live with ordinary Americans who vote differently, but wants to eliminate national borders (I'm willing to wager).
We sure do have different values. Most reasonable people value others for the kindness and decency they exhibit in their day to day lives, not for how they vote. I know several conservative right wingers who are kinder, cleaner, more decent, and far more charity-minded (actually getting their hands dirty helping others without judgement) than any Progressive I've ever met. You, however, would probably dismiss them - in favour of a posturing, cigarette smoking, drug-taking SJW who doesn't lift a finger towards the hard work of lived charity .. because politics.
Oh there goes the extremism again because I couldn’t live in a red county comfortably means that I don’t value anyone for kindness and decency. That’s the trouble with people like you you can only see in extremes. I guess you haven’t met many Progressives. After all we’re just so busy doing drugs and not helping. Those million plus women who have been marching Don’t have any kindness or decency , right? you remind me of a little child who takes everything literally. I bet if I told you to go jump in the lake you’d be looking for water
If I didn’t have little interest in knowing how others think I would be running like hell from this right wing hell hole. Fortunately most of the people I work with our students and teachers and generally most of them are not Trumper’s
If you can't live comfortably with people who are different to you, you are NOT a liberal. You are an insulated virtue signaller. Meantime, I'm surrounded by Progressives. I live in a "Portland, Oregon" city, and just about every one I know is left wing - including myself. I've known very little else in my life, having been raised by leftist hippies. I've travelled extensively, lived in third world countries, and lived in Muslim nations in areas where I was the only westerner. I was a Progressive myself, until I realised I wasn't for progress at all, but rather for an anachronistic and very fixed ideological proscription - all hinging upon the most trivial of vanities and first world problems. No progress to be found there - if anything, it's regress. A conservatism I'm not at all comfortable with. Marching women? Gimme a break. What does it cost a bunch of mostly white, middle class and wealthy women in their uber safe first world, to take a few hours out of their day to posture in the streets? Let's see them working tirelessly, for years on end, amongst the poor in a redneck area, or the extreme poverty and dirt of a third world nation in famine, or actively protesting the oppression and mutilation of women by a certain Middle Eastern religion. You gave it a good try, but alas - no banana.
Lol...Did you actually refer to yourself as a lefty.? You remind me of those evangelicals who found Jesus. You found Trump There is nothing wrong with living comfortably or uncomfortably among different groups. For some reason I don’t think you would be very comfortable living in a low income housing project. It doesn’t mean you don’t like the people. I guess your problem is you think discomfort and hate are synonymous..extremist thinking And your sexism is absolutely adorable. Yes those millions of women marching don’t really care about about anything. Liberal women never work in poor areas and they never give money to help others.Guess sexism is your best friend. Trivializing millions of women who just “took a few hours out of the day to posture on the streets” we were really there because Macy’s was having a sale on lipstick and we were hoping trump would grab our ******* . bet you have a lot more respect for those good people marching in Charlottesville I love your last line, very Freudian
