Not a Clinton fan, but she's correct. People will not be able to go without paychecks forever, farmers will not be able to go without funding or help from the USDA forever, entire lives are being ruined over an issue that has been exaggerated.

So if this is such a huge problem...why won't the dems just fund the wall? I'm not a fan of the wall but I'd rather have them build it instead of having friends not get paid.

This isn't just on Trump. The dems DO have the option to just pay for it. And if you disagree, then you're just as much to blame as Trump.

Dems want border security - which involves all kinds of levels, including technology and expanded personnel. Trump wants border security - which involves a wall. To suggest that Dems don't want any kind of border security is disingenuous - almost as disingenuous as Trump suggesting that a wall is the ONLY way to get border security. His mask is slipping here - standing firm ONLY on the wall says that he is more interested in fulfilling a campaign promise than actual security. And he's willing to let Americans suffer for it...

Actually, that's false. If the wall is funded, he can immediately end the shutdown. Which means that the left HAS the option to end the shutdown.

 

There's 'being' right, and then there's 'doing' right. And I don't think spending $5B+ of tax payers money is 'doing' right, just to turn around to be able to say 'I'm right'!

Everything in legislation and politics is "what if". The goal is to prevent illegal immigration. If you build a wall around your house 30 feet high...would intruders have an easier, or a harder time entering?
