    That is simply untrue, the law only requires that the countries these illegal aliens pass through be considered 'safe' in order for Trump's EO to be legitimate. That the law itself is somewhat vague is a legislative issue, not one that can really have an effect on enforcement...

    Trump tried to make a deal with Mexico to declare themselves a safe country, Trump failed to make the deal

    "asylum seekers must register for asylum in the first declared safe country they enter"

    OK, then we can cut the military budget by three quarters, fund infrastructure restoration and pay for generous social welfare system!

    We should also tax oil (instead of subsidizing it), and put the windfall into a sovereign wealth fund so we can retire our debt and build a sustained asset base whose earnings will support a large part of the Federal budget for as far as the eye can see. That’s what Norway did.

    If we’re going to retreat behind Trump’s wall, quit being a world leaders, turn our backs on the legacy of Churchill and Roosevelt, and return to flat earth isolationism, we ought to at least get something out of it.

It doesn't matter which outlets publish Omar, Tlaib, and AOC's remarks, because there's no way to disguise their offensiveness. These "fine people" labeled 10,000 CBP, DHS, ICE employees "gestapo" agents. As a result, ANTIFA tried to bomb one of ICE barracks 'cause they guard "Hitler's" DHS "concentration camps".     One has to ask why such countries are shitholes, and why America is not (although we certainly have people now working to make us one).

    The answer is the people. If you won't clean and maintain your own house and turn it into a pigsty, why should I think you attitude will change if I let you into my house?
    You have to be pretty stupid to assume that people who destroy their own countries, or fail to control those who would- are going to act differently if they come here. The mindset and values embedded in those people does not automatically change when they cross the border. It is up to us to vet these situations, and make our immigration process a constructive one. That means control before the fact- not after they are in.

    I've worked in Central and South America. I've seen entire cities that basically are similar (or worse) than the worst slums in America- and people sitting back not caring about it.
