    OK...you said...
" I would rather they be exposed to all of society and make up their own enlightened minds."
I think there is exposure and there is exposure....
To simplify, we would both have to be in class and observe what was being taught...
Once again..I dont know what is being taught...
If I sat up the back and listened to what my kids were being "exposed to"....eg you dont have
to chose your gender until youre say 14...then I would question such "exposure...."
If my kids were being schooled as to the need for bullying to stop..I would accept that "exposure"
and would reinforce that need at home....

I will make a very bold statement.

I believe that the anti-gay brigade cause more children to become gay then the lgbtq crowd do.

There is merit to your statement but I would phrase it differently.

The anti-gay brigade causes more children to DIE needlessly than anything the LBGTQ crowd ever does.

No I stick by my original statement. The traits of "Manliness and femininity" are not set in stone. Rather it is a broad spectrum from pretty boys who like cooking and flower arranging to macho boys that love to wrestle and ride their bikes through flower beds and of course play football to girls with deep voices and big muscular bodies and some even shave to tomboys to girls to prissy little princesses
We pick a narrow band of that behavior and label it normal the boys at the girly end ... It's circular with the feminine boy joining the prissy princes.
We call them gay or poofs, the girls at the male end are called butch or lezos.
Call someone a name long enough and they will believe it.
Both males and females have both progesterone and testosterone, just the levels determine secondary characteristics.
A boy has higher progesterone than normal may have a higher voice, less facial and body hair, softer body structure and be more delicately built etc.
A girl with higher testosterone levels have deeper voices, more body hair and possibly facial hair. She will have a higher muscle ratio and bone density.
Again these are spectrums depending on the hormone ratio, this also affects feelings and emotions. The thoughts, well we put into their heads.

    Hi Billy,
I am still here, sometimes difficult to find the time, only semi retired, comprende?
I liked your openness, and I am sad to learn of your loss.
My life doesn't appear to be half that exiting than yours, so I sometimes tell people about me, most often not.
As-holes get to hear what they want to hear, but you are not one of them.
I think without any doubt you are very conservative, and to a degree a bitter man.
I also think you could give a lot, possibly more than I do.
I imagine you helping new arrivals (refugees or migrants) to find their way in our Australian society.
Much more satisfying as compared to deal with us here on this forum.
I also imagine you working under a female boss, which goes horribly wrong.....
Honestly, I couldn't care less if my boss was a woman, if she has what it takes.
Life is beautiful, and way toooo short.
I try to keep the sadness out of mine, which I am not particular good at....
    Now back to work,
    reg. Cats

I know you want to try avoid me due entirely from your hate. I comment mainly on your posts for others.

So, from my previous point that you confuse the argument made over homophobic beliefs, this statement carries upon the same. The merit in the argument is that the Anti-gay brigades are trying to portray something of a self-centred appearance, which is far more detrimental to society than the LGBTIQ community ever can.

How can this be so??? This statement makes a point on deciding that people’s sexuality is a choice. This actually demonises the LGBTIQ community as a life style choice. Now all those children who are confused about their own sexuality know that an alternative belief than the majority norm is demonised, because the people fighting to support their possible belief are actually telling them it is wrong…

Now I know that is not your intention but the fact is that it clouds debate, it clouds reality and it clouds the truth from the very people we should be helping. BUT this entire point is exactly what I have been pointing out the entire time I have been on this forum… Shame, people cannot see it themselves.

    Bold???

    Gday cats
    Thanx for responding.
I tend to agree with most of what you said, however disagree that I am bitter.
Is it human nature to automatically reject such criticism..perhaps so...Im not a shrink.
I would tend to say that I am frustrated, rather than bitter.
Frustrated at what I see, and what my family members also see, and cant do a thing about anything. As I said in a previous post, my late father was exactly the same as he would often talk about various levels of
politics and point out to me exactly what he was referring to..
Whilst I was in the workforce, elderly bosses were exactly the same as me..frustrated at the system, and not being able to do a thing about it.
What saddens me the most is the path the world is heading. I wont go into that any more here
I have started many threads, complaining about many issues in an attempt to vent my spleen and get it off my chest. I regard it as therapy, even though many people disagree with me on these threads and others I contribute to.
Instant access to the internet and television tends to effect my feelings.
Many times I will read or hear something and think...I cant believe theyre doing this.
An example of this is the lack of a national sex offenders register, politicians believing, obviously
    that its not warranted.
Even today, bail laws and parole laws are still being amended...when are we going to get it right...its 2019....ffs...
Can you see my point about frustration...thats not bitterness, its a disgust at the systems we live under.
And pos politicians simply, in a smug and condescending manner continue on, fuking it up, and answer to no-one...instead simply taking a junket to Vanuatu and pledging millions of Australian dollars to another country......pos Morrison..
In medieval times, we would be storming a lords or barons castle in protest...
    No castles around today....
We just live in frustration at the mess the world is in....
    Anyway, Im playing golf soon.....
    Seeya...

Kid ,I honestly think that some of your frustration is turning to bitterness, especially when it comes to the women's movements .

I grew up I would say, in the same Australia as you did. The suburban weatherboard cottage days.

Adds on the TV showed mums in aprons holding up a packet of Mother's Choice flour and a plate of biscuits. "I always choose Mother's Choice when I bake a treat for my kid's". Enter a boy and girl in school uniform, they drop their bags and race towards the biscuits. The mother stops them, hands them their bags and sends them to their rooms to get changed. The kids then dressed in play clothes run back in. The boy has a football and the girl has a doll. The mother hands them a biscuit and sends them out to play.

In today's adds, the mother comes into the house and plonks a brief case and shopping bag on the table. She looks a little frazzled.

She pulls 4 trays of Light and Easy out of the shopping bag and walks to the microwave.

"Some times you just need a little break" she says as she keys the time into the microwave.

She sticks her head into the family room and the son is playing an online RPG. The daughter is on the couch with a set of head phones on. "Dinner in 5 minutes" she says.

Appearing to have been ignored she shakes her head and heads of towards her room.
"At least I can make 1 healthy choice for them", she says.

It's called progress. Progress just means to move, it doesn't have to be forward.

    Womens movements.......
I get the impression that men are being left way way way way behind.........
Im disappointed that you illustrate mum fixing dinner in the conclusion of your post. Contrary to your post, how many times do we see a brainwashing ad on tv showing dad cooking dinner, maybe because mum is at the gym.....
As I say from time to time...gimme a break.....

I agree with your descriptions above.

My comment was a direct reflection of the intolerance directed towards those who do NOT conform to the typical stereotypes.

That intolerance has resulted in the deaths of many children for no better reason than they did not conform to the physical expectations of the bigots.
