    all these people thought Trump would Pardon them, now that Trump has turned his back on them, they realize they were just part of a cult

    Trump used them, he never cared about them

    they thought Trump was gonna be with them, they believed Trump

I’m sure if they asked every BLM member arrested that their record would be cleared if they only said Democrats made them do it, I wonder how many would take that deal? Oh that’s right.     I don't understand why he thought Trump would stand behind him. Trump is notorious for not being loyal or honorable. He files bankruptcy just to stiff his debtors and fires anybody that dares to not follow his every whim. He even stiffed Giuliani who has gone to the ends of the Earth in support toward him. And, the way he threw Pence under the bus should have been enough proof the guy doesn't care about anybody but himself.

    Is his lawyer trying for an insanity defense because that's the only way to believe that Trump would back him up or pardon him.

    This crowd met in Washington D.C. on Jan. 6th, because they were told for weeks that
    the election was stolen from Trump through fraud and other means.
    And if Congress/Pence did not do the correct thing, make Trump President for four more years.
    This crowd was to walk down to the Capitol and make Congress/Pence do the correct thing.
    Make Trump President for four more years.

    Pence did not keep Trump as President. He was certifying the election for Biden.
    Therefore, the crowed had to do what they were told they had to do.
    Get Congress to certify Trump as President.
    Because the election was stolen from Trump.

    Now, whoever gave them that idea?

    Nope. Trump invited them. He knew who they were, and that they were violent. That Trump invited violent mentally deficient people to storm the Capitol does not help him at all. Kinda seals the deal. That, and his legal team quit.
