I will watch psychological horror movies and ghost story type of horror movies. I don't care much for over the top blood and gore and stuff like that. It's just gross and disturbing to me.

    I'm old school as well.
    Sleep Away Camp
    Demon Seed
    Mulholland Drive

A lot of the old Bela Lugosi films. They are probably not as interesting to kids today, being black and white and little special effects.

Not a big fan of horror films at all. I find them pointless and utterly meaningless to even earn one second of my time. They do not even scare me, so I get nothing out of watching them.

However, I did like Conjuring 1 and 2, if I didn't completely lack emotions, they would have scared me. :p Nonetheless, they were pretty cool.

It really was. The acting was horrible, almost laughable at times.
Still...it did have a couple decent scares.

The Grudge, Exorcist, Michael Meyers...not the Halloween movies just him standing in any background lol
    The Paranormal movies were creepy.
...and Blair Witch. It gets criticized but it really was pretty scary.

I never, ever watch anything with vampires, zombies or werewolves in because they bore my socks off, I prefer more adult themes but sadly there are not many around.
PS- I had high hopes when I began watching a fictional film on TV last year, I can't remember the name but it sounded good on paper, namely a paranormal research team did an overnight lockdown in an old disused insane asylum.
The first half was very good and subtly done, then when dawn arrived according to their wristwatches, it was still dark outside, wow, how spooky was that!
But sadly it then degenerated into childish gore and cliche horror so I switched off.

I finally got around to watching Friday the 13th last night. I really liked it, and was a little surprised that the famous mask-wearing killer himself was not even in it. Also like the original Nightmare on Elm Street, another classic I recently watched through for the first time, it had a nice twist ending that easily set up a sequel and created the impression that not all was well that seemed at first to end well.

Love that movie. As brief his role was, I also liked him in "In the Mouth of Madness".
