1)Laws like this exist because the government forced oppression on to the private business.

2)Trump didn't decline to rent to blacks, a person far down in the rung of building super attendants chose to do that. As you said, why would anyone choose not to sell to someone? Its when they aren't the owner of the business and will be paid regardless.

Funny you bring up driving laws, its actually not very safe to set a speed limit which bunches up cars. Perfect example is the difference in how Germans drive on autobahns with only a min driving speed.

There are lots of reasons. For example, if you were to go to Japan, there are many businesses (restaurants, bars, public baths) that will stop you at the gate, turn you around and tell you to get lost.

The reason is simple. Their clientele don't want you disturbing their wa, they don't want to have to deal with your inability to speak Japanese, they don't want you to become a stereotypical angry black woman weaving her head around, snapping your fingers, and getting all uppity.

Sorry, but it's just not worth it.

I've already explained why I got out of the slumlord business. My black tenants simply weren't worth the hassle. Since I couldn't legally kick people out simply because I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and there was all sorts of paperwork and time involved, to hell with it.

 

When will credit levels be part of the CRA because just cause you have poor credit, doesn't mean you cant afford the $500,000 home right? What can go wrong? Discrimination, even if its based on skin tone or sexuality, or dress and appearance is the RIGHT of the business owner because its their property and their service. If its not clear that your personal opinions and attitudes and biases wont effect your business, ask Dicks and Target and many other "woke and broke" businesses out there trying to force the far lefts ideology onto their customers.
