The Republican House leadership on this immigration issue really let down the majority of the American people and their behavior is a red flag to the American people as a whole that the Republican Party is not up to the task of governing America for the entirety of the American people the Republican Party will just govern America for their hard core base which only offers the country a future of division. I think most Americans were hoping on this immigration issue that either the Republican House leadership would let the Democrats and moderate Republicans bring up their own immigration bill solving the DACA problem or that this block would use the House rules and go over the head of the Republican House leadership and do the same. Critics of the Moderate Republicans and Democrats say something like this is a waste of time because President Trump would not sign the bill, but these critics don't get it this block and the majority of Americans are done with President Donald Trump on this immigration issue were done with his pandering to the Republican Party far right base on this issue. This block and their supporters are about communicating to the American people and people running and inclined to running for national political office that this compromise solution to the DACA problem, legalization and a path to citizenship for the million plus people in DACA status for construction of a Border Wall that sets the foundation for permanently solving the illegal immigration problem for the country is the way to go there is a bi-partisan consensus for this solution it is readily achievable the American voters are within twenty yards from the goal line we just need to keep the faith in the next two election cycles to achieve it!

This House Republican leadership "compromise immigration" bill is a sham it is a fake, bogus bill it is far right wish list bill. First off it goes way over what is a fair concession for legalization and a path to citizenship for DACA people this Republican leadership Trojan Horse bill has all these wants that only deserve consideration in a Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill that resolves the status of the eleven million illegals in the U.S. like the modification of the Diversity Visa program and the Family Sponsored Visa Program and various prescriptions for detaining illegal immigrants with criminal records. Even the provisions in the bill for the legalization of DACA people are overly restrictive I can understand blocking people with truly violent felony records but the bill goes way past that with multiple misdemeanors being an impediment, a drug selling conviction being an impediment where is the compassion many drug addicts sell drugs because their addiction compels them to.

The House Republican leadership is really slimy and untrustworthy with this "Trojan Horse" bill. They say this bill ends the breakup of illegal immigrant families that being where illegal immigrant children are released from detention and their illegal immigrant parents are held in detention. The House Republicans are obviously making this over blown claim to try to create public support for passage of this bill. Unfortunately though this is an inaccurate claim, the bill negates the current law and/or regulation mandating these children be released from detention within like twenty days but it does not mandate the families be kept together. Anyone with common sense on the issue knows immigration authorities will run out of family detention capacity very quickly. Noteworthy is this bill's mandate that these children be released to a parent or a legal guardian. So what this bill will wrought for America because of the limits in detention facilities is that these children will be released in conjunction with the release of an illegal immigrant parent where the family will then disappear into American society not reporting for immigration hearings and orders which will result in the illegal immigration getting dramatically worse or the government will set-up a temporary guardianship program where these children will be released to these temporary guardians which will be the same problem we have today at just a higher cost as authorities insure they are in compliance with the "legal guardian" mandate!

Speaker Of The House Paul Ryan really failed the American people on this issue! He put party over country; the idealist for Democracy and the Constitution's creation of three coequal branches of government as it turns out is a leader that is as desperate as desperate can be to not hurt any far right Republican House candidate in this year's election. What's become crystal clear is that it is best Speaker Ryan is retiring because he has turned into an obstruction for improving America not a facilitator!

The issue of giving unauthorized immigrants who entered the country as minors (under the age of 18 ) is a real contentious issue.

My take on it is that a compromise would probably involve a cut-off date (say, they had to have entered the country before the age of 13 or 14) and the burden would be on them to have to prove it. Setting any criteria is going to be really contentious and problematic because there's going to be a whole bunch of people trying to claim they meet qualifications, when many of them don't. However, if no criteria is set, it's basically going to be across the board amnesty. (The U.S. already tried that in 1987)
