House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says socialism is ‘not the view’ of the Democratic Party

Yeah, right. Who in the heck is she trying to fool?

The Democratic party has been the party of socialism for decades.

The only telling thing about her comment is that she must of got ahold of some internal polling that scared the crap out of her.

 

Republicans call everything socialism.
Everyone wants some socialism, we just argue over how much.

 

Someone better talk to her about their leading candidate then who identifies as a Socialist. And most of the other leading candidates espouse very Socialist thinking, lots of free stuff, social handouts, identity politics, but very little talk of personal responsibility and capitalism. Amusing, coming from Millionaires who made their money through marriage, sleeping their way up the ladder, or using govt to enrich themselves through the years. How amusing.

Fire and police are not socialism. Socialism means social ownership of the means of production in a society. That is to say the people themselves socially control their own workplace. These things are controlled by the state, which is NOT the same thing.

And since public employees work for us the taxpayers, they should not be able to unionize.

 

Which dem is proposing social ownership of the means of production? When have dems ever implicated anything close to that?

 

Where do you get this crap? Socialism has to do with the means of production and distribution of goods, not law enforcement of fire services.

 

Obamacare is the means and production of healthcare services.

 

So who’s proposing that kind of socialism?

 

No it isn’t, they didn’t take over a single hospital. Insurance is not healthcare.

 

They are now, elections have consequences.

 

Did you know that police and fire are paid for through property taxes? Basically, everybody that owns property does pay for the service. Some communities even finance their police and fire through other means of taxation, so it is not always just limited to those that own property.

TRUE STORY: There was a county fire district. Anybody in the district boundary had to pay taxes to support the fire district. Those bordering the fire district, but were outside, had the option to join and pay. There was a fire on a house adjacent to and outside the district boundary and the owner decline to join the district. District responded and would not fight the fire. They just watched it burn and protected the structure on the property within the district.

 

Not everyone pays taxes.

It would be darn hard to avoid them. Anybody that has a cell phone account pays taxes. Anybody that buys gas pays taxes. Anybody that owns land pays taxes.

 

But do they pay the same as everyone else?

 

The Democrats/Government took over the entire process with state run exchanges and what plans must be offered. You are talking out of your ass.

90% of the press coverage the Dems have been getting over the last year has been focused like a laser beam on a handful of thee most radical Democrats in the party.

The DNC has been pushed and pulled so far to the left by the extremists, it's about to fall of the edge of of the rational world.

Secondly, didn't Trump recently say America will never be a socialist nation?

Thirdly, are democrats ok with socialism or not?

 

The entire process? Then how do I have insurance when I didn’t go through the exchange?
