2016 was an election for Hillary to lose and lose it she did. Trump didn't win it, Hillary lost it on her own. Laziness, she had that bug. From 1 Sep 2016 through 8 Nov 2016 Trump made 116 campaign visits, stops, rallies etc to Hillary's 71. That 71 was smaller than it looks as it included fund raisers in deep blue California and New York. Ceding the campaign trail to Trump was just her first misstep.

Her campaign strategy was the most inept strategy I have witness since G.H.W. Bush's back in 1992. That is trying to obtain more electoral votes than Obama did was a campaign strategy. This strategy led Hillary to put much time, energy and money into winning Georgia, Arizona and Utah when she should have paid some attention to her own backyard, the so called blue wall states. Hillary took them for granted, she basically totally ignored Wisconsin and Michigan. She ceded Florida with it's rich 29 electoral votes to Trump letting him both outwork her and out campaign her.

The media, Hillary ran and hide. Trump called into every morning talk show and dominated the news as the number one story, the headliner throughout the campaign. It's amazing Hillary raised and spent 1.191 billion dollars to Trump's 646.8 Million and still lost. Apparently money alone, won't buy you an election. There's many more reasons, most under Hillary's control. She lost because she was lazy, she had an inept campaign strategy, she peeved off and made Sanders supporters mad by having the Democratic primaries rigged in her favor, she came across to the independent voter as aloof, elitist, she failed to inspire and enthuse her base, she just didn't have that fire in the belly it took to win. She took her election for granted, after all she went up against the worst candidate the Republicans could nominate, an obnoxious, uncouth Trump. Perhaps Hillary forgot she actually had to put forth an effort.

 

"Hillary got more votes", and "Trump was impeached", are part of their self affirmation mantra.

 

At no time has Obama ever said any such thing.

 

Trump won the election. Then the Democrats stole the mid term House elections with the help of a complicit media that told Americans, day and night for two years, convincing many that Trump and Republicans were traitors and a threat to the Constitution. By the time the Mueller report came out to the contrary, it was too late for people to change their votes.

 

There will never be a way of counting the votes that Russia's interference caused. How many people thinking of buying a new car were swayed by a Ford commercial they saw or perhaps a Chevrolet commercial they saw? We don't know and never will. Few people will admit they were on the fence until 'something' (perhaps a commercial) swayed them).

 

I was so put off by Trumps conduct that I almost voted for Hillary until I saw her on CNN, pandering to feminists and black lives matter. So I voted for Trump. And I'm glad I did. He has turned out to be progressively pro American.

 

Let's clear up a couple of things. While Trump was not identified as a participant in the Russian meddling by Mueller, his campaign team was so identified. Trump's open invitation to Russia to get involved in our election ("Russia. If you can find those 30,000 missing emails...") was suspicious, especially when Russia immediately went after Hillary.

Second, we will never know if any votes were changed in the election. It seems illogical Russian intelligence would spend a ton of Rubles on a dry well.

At any rate, 2016 is long past. What we need to focus on is keeping Russia and others out of our election process.

It doesn't matter. What matters is their target audience can be convinced that he did. This gets repeated till it's true because most people have no idea what the context was.

 

The message in the phrase about the 30 thousand emails is not a literal. Trump wasn't telling them to find those emails. He was telling Russia to help him any way they could. And Russia did!

Either way, publicly asking somebody to do something illegal to benefit you is just as serious whether it's a joke or not. Especially knowing that they could do it... and that there are reasons why they would be willing to do it.

 

That's a load of horse poop. Trump wasn't talking to the Russians, he was talking to his base and we watched the whole exchange. It was a sarcastic remark about Hillary's inability to produce those emails. This was also when Russian interference was the DNC excuse for the results of totally losing contact with blue collar America and blowing the election.

Trump had no political record to run on then but now he has a long list of accomplishments both foreign and domestic. Democrats have one failed impeachment. He was beatable then, not so much now.

 

The dems cheated when obama told illegal aliens to vote. That is why hillary got the popular vote: illegal aliens and dead people are the new democrat base.

So you agree with me that Senators have already made up their minds to exonerate Trump regardless of any facts that may come up. I do agree with you that a President who is given a license by the Senate to cheat has a formidable advantage.
