Not too much, it would have to be 10 bucks or higher to significantly effect my budget directly simply because I have made changes. Indirectly it had effected my budget in the same manner that taking one third of my income right off the top off because of price gouging and other problems. For example I wonder why when gas prices go down food prices dont follow pace? Food prices here have increased by a third it seems! Then to cover costs our city government has increased water and garbage pick up by a third (there is that magical number again!). Tires repair and other auto related items have increased, just like Beck said they would, I dont mean a little. I paid over 400.00 for two modest sized SUV tires. (its a six cyl and gets about 22 mpg). I bought a nice bicycle at wally world for 100 dollars too. It works great for my in town home grocery getting etc.

Here is the deal; I am much more fearful that fuel prices will effect the world economy including rising prices on everything. I believe that a collapse of our global system is inevitable. I dont know when, maybe tomorrow maybe ten years from now. Barring a fusion energy breakthrough or something equivalent we are in trouble, watch that fairly good National Geo special about dooms day prepper, you might see me and bogie*, but I am there in spirit ..you and your family should be prepared too!

Now that Obama has added over $5 trillion to the national debt and spiked oil prices with a lack of any real energy policy - inflation is now coming back

Yes the Summer of Recovery III should be much worse then the previous summers of recovery

    There are two policies here:

    1) Government policy: This has ensured that people living in the US have been able to buy a sub-market value product for decades, via tax incentives given to the most wealthy companies in the world. This means these companies pay less tax than other industries. From an investors position I can either invest in a company which pays less corporate tax, hence skewing the "Free Market", or a company which pays standard corporation tax.

    2) Personal policy: This is the policy of the people of the US to take advantage of the artificially lowered price of petrol, and buy vehicles with inefficient engines, which have stupidly low MPG.

So yes, the policy wheels have been in motion for decades and the people of the US have actively participated in it.

Because America's "special", you're the only country world wide, which has seen increases in petrol, food, utility, and the general price of living, during the economic crisis....

The only country in the world! I swear to god!

But the liberal media has their usual double standards when it comes to their slanted coverage

In fact some libe will lie to their viewers to smear Pres Bush

Here we have one example of a liberal blaming Pres Bush for high prices and lying about the price when he left office

I have not seen this lib (or any lib) blaming Obama for high gas prices like they did Pres Bush

Address the point and stop deflecting. Your prices are increasing due to GLOBAL MARKET FORCES. My prices and the prices everyone around the world are increasing due to GLOBAL MARKET FORCES.

    Addess this and stop deflecting.

Or admit that you've nothing other than partisan nonoesense, which is transparant for eveyone to see.

I am holding Obama to the same standards you libs held Obama to.

Plus the fact Obama has NO energy policy and has done everything possible to INCREASE the price of oil - like he said he wanted

Soo true. Even before Obama's fourth year before I was horrified to a state of petrifaction , I was scared Shi-less every time I heard him speak of throwing multi-billion dollar band-aids at problems and slinging trillion dollar verbiage around like he was speaking of chump change. It seemed if no one cared because of the scare tactics the Obama administration used to justify such insanity...I better stop here , I feel the Obama rage coming on..it happens every time I go to the market or to shop around for two more tires...

I go tot he store every week and gas up every week. I am shocked at the ever increasing prices I am paying

Even cat food has soared and I have 5 cats to feed

But libs could not care less about this. There insatiable appetite for political power prevents them form admitting Obama's polcies are not working

Libs always ranted how they wanted high gas prices - yet they ranted against it when Bush was in office

Now with one of their own in office - they could not care less and are spinning faster then a Maytag washing machine

I feel for you Redstates. I have a humanitarian mission and church that administrators to people worse off than we are. Being a modest affair, we work with one family, or two individuals at a time. I went to making over a grand a week (actually about two G's take home) and the next week finding myself in debt thousands of dollars. So when it did happen to me I want to give back. Lastly everyone can prepare for the coming bad times at least to some degree. I urge everyone to prep as much as possible, because I love my fellow man and am scared of what is coming down the pike...darkly.

You are only partly correct. As I said the world has a problem, but here in the USA we add to that global problem with wasting money. Obama by his stupid (way past ignorant) instance of throwing impossible nearly infinite (ha ha) large sums of money (some of the losses were as large as a small countries GNP) at problems. He is the worst president we have had since carter.

You should cut your coat, according to your cloth. Personal responsibility is everything. You chose to keep cats, now you have to deal with the fall out of that decision.

This isn't about "Democrat vs Republican". Prices soared at one point under Bush, too, remember?

It's about Big Government and Big Corporation (in this case, Big Fossil Fuel) in general. When a small group of people own a lot of resources or has a lot of power, it causes problems.

The same way it has for as long as I been living ...

Gas isn't the only and most expensive consumable that has gone up.

So Red, I think Obama's oil policies have been bad. But I don't hold him responsible for prices (okay, maybe a penny or two...). I'd be itnerested in hearing specifics as to why you (or others) do.

Your post oozes with the usual liberal compassion you lefties are famous for. So you are having trouble in the Obama economy - so what? Learn to deal with it
