A gun owner who bought an optic scope attachment for a firearm in a private transaction on the internet sent a message that he was "going human hunting".

It was more likely than not just a macabre sense of humor, but the seller reported it to police and the man was arrested. Not only that but based off that one message, police were able to obtain a search warrant and have temporarily confiscated the man's entire large gun collection.

That confiscation may become permanent, since the man has been charged with "Terroristic Threats Felony-3 ".

This happened in Laredo, Texas, and police might be more on the alert and more paranoid due to the recent school shooting that happened only 2 hours to the north, which received national news coverage. Suspect is 37-year-old Javier Torres.

What if someone hacked into one of your accounts and sent a message so it looked like it came from your account?

What if a stupid joke you made, perhaps while drunk or extremely tired, was misinterpreted?

The prosecutor will probably strike an offer to him to immediately release him from prison, if he pleads guilty to the felony.
