Um ... that was not my post, I wrote no such thing.

Your reply, to whomever you intended, seems needlessly snarky, given it's obvious that the person (not me) was joking.

Now, a civilized adult would post an apology. Should I hold my breath?

that's really silly given almost ever police department issues what anti gun activists call "high capacity weapons"

if civilian police are issued a type of weapon, other civilians should be able to keep and bear them. Stuff gun banners call assault weapons are used in less murders than beatings

    for the ignorant

ASSAULT RIFLE: developed in WWII by the Germans and the Russians for the heavy street fighting in areas such as Stalingrad. Advancing infantry would often encounter fixed fortified positions. The tactic of "ASSAULTING" these positions involved using machine guns to suppress return fire, while a demolition team would close with the fixed position and destroy it with satchel charges, bazookas or flamethrowers. However, machine gun teams had a hard time staying up with fast moving infantry patrols. The assault rifle was developed to serve as both a standard infantry weapon and -when fired on full auto, would allow several soldiers to provide the suppressive fire that the missing crew served machine gun would provide

when gun banners try to apply the term "assault" to firearms not capable of selective fire, it is because they hope slow witted or low wattage voters will associate the criminal term "assault" to the weapons

It wont accomplish a thing because democrats will stand aside and “let things happen” As you know, the police stood down, but two border patrol agents without proper authority ended it. If it were not for them, I believe armed citizens would have.
Your problem with guns violates my right to defend myself when your democrats vote in Soros funded DA’s who won’t prosecute criminals, who then come after me.
Lastly, Google and Facebook know what cereal I ate this morning. If there was money in it, they would scan for troublesome posters, rather than scanning for conservative opinions to silence.

That's what I'm counting on. That a potential shooter thinks they can build an assault rifle and ammunition without doing any research. That almost assures that it will blow up in their face before they are able to shoot anybody.

What an insane post. So the police where democrats. And you know this because they stood aside, but the border agents were Republicans. And you know this because they killed the shooter.

Ok. So I'll make note of this in my list of posters who are not here to be taken seriously.

    BTW...
What the hell gave you the idea that this thread is about YOU? You appear to ascribe too much importance to yourself.

You are making an awful lot of connections that do not connect. “So the police were democrats” said who?“Border agents were republican” said who? “You know this because they killed the shooter” Don’t make it about me. “ascribe too much importance to yourself”, again don’t make it about me. You are at least 10,000 words into this diatribe, so no one will ever be as important as you.
But you are still off in a tangent going exactly where tangents go.

    YOU!!!
If you want to retract, I would encourage you to do so. But do it clearly and unequivocally because, right now, you are not looking very well.

yeah my knowledge of musicals is really deficient and I cannot tell you anything about soap operas. as to guns and firearms laws, I probably forget more about that in a week than most of the anti gunners will ever know

Your debating with a gun owner, so stop taking me for ignorant just because I'm not sitting at your feet, absorbing all of your "wisdom." Get a grip on that pomposity streak you have going. The air is thin on the mountain top ... careful you don't get a nosebleed!

    NO YOU!!!
You are mistaken and I don’t care to waste any more time over grammatical trivia. If it is that important to you, put it up it up for a vote.
BTW, I don’t talk guns with someone who think the primer propels the bullet.

Dixie gun works does make a tiny little firearm where the primer itself actually propels a projectile. It's a round lead BB at about a blistering speed of 600 ft per second.

A parlor gun in other words. Golem will probably have to Google that one

The founding fathers knew what they were doing. The 2nd amendment is an amendment to keep the government in check not citizens. The citizens needed weapons close to the military to be able to stand up to tyranny. The word regulated in the Constitution does not mean controlled by the government, it means well maintained. When reading a 18th century document you have to think 18th century not 21st. Language changes but the the meaning of the 2nd does not over time, or any other part of the Constitution. Remember at the time of the signing of the constitution the founders were very leary of an all powerful government after just fighting revolution with what they saw to be a government that was far to overreaching. They just won a revolution against a military that at the time was considered to be the most powerful at the time using regular men and rifles pulled down from the mantle. The fear that the government they were creating was someday going to morph into an overreaching and controlling government. The 2nd Amendment like or not is an amendment designed so the that the citizens will be armed enough to fight the government and keep the government under the thumb of the citizens not the other way around. So yes military grade weapons should most definitely be available for citizens to use and own. The only way around this is a constitutional convention and the repealing and replacement of the 2nd. Good luck with that.

Hm...not sure where it was supposed to be directed.

Anyway, I love the snarky way you demand an apology. For that little bit of hypocrisy, you won't get one.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten one anyway. In the years I've been on this forum, I've gotten a total of two from conservatives.

It's very easy, compared to other rifles, to build an AR style platform. Why do you think there are so many mom and pop companies building ARs?

I've been reloading for over 30 years. It isn't near as complicated as you make it sound.

Finally, the Uvalde shooter wasn't carrying 1,600 rounds...lol

And... did you know it's easier to build a solid booster rocket than a plasma rocket?

Ha! He has no interest in learning, but is an expert on making ammo. How long would it take to make 1600 rounds? Probably all morning!
