I don't have problems with opinion pieces. As long as they are labeled as such. It's one persons opinion, and I can take it, or leave it.

Everyone should have a problem when opinion is presented as news. Fake news is when it's reported Pompeo said there is no deep state, period. He did not say just that.

That type of reporting goes on all the time. Out of context snippets presented as news, etc., etc..

Learn critical thinking skills. Attkisson's statement carries MORE WEIGHT than an opinion by CBS.

How about the Inspector General? Because they did inspect her personal computer.

Nobody is defending fake news. It comes down to "your side's news is more fake than my side's news". And you buy straight into such propaganda.

I've already shown you that you are defending fake news back in post #7 (below)

Get over yourselves and brace yourself to be SURPRISED! again in Nov. The SURPRISE! all the proof it takes, or at least SHOULD take. Going for 2 out of 2 elections doesn't bode well for you.

Please cite how I was defending fake news? I'll wait.

And what does the outcome of elections have to do with fake news? We've known for long before trump that propaganda can influence elections.

Who? The right wingers trying to conflate "things they don't like" with actual fake news?

If you people can't understand the simple language I've used throughout the thread showing election surprises are your own problem, not mine, then you deserve to continue to be surprised by election OUTCOMES.

    Sheeesh! It's AMAZING!

I freely admit to my Fascist-Technocratic beliefs, I also freely admit to the superiority of state-run media compared to business-ran media. Here's what I find funny about the Left: You hate businesses, you say they didn't build it. That they're corporate greedy bastards. Yet you staunchly support and defend their propaganda.

Why, what makes being propagandized by them better than being propagandized by the government? There was once a time where free-lance journalism was a credible thing, where people truly did want to report on the news(see: The debate in this thread over opinions being called news, and actual news. This is one of my biggest problems too.)

Actually, it is *the* biggest problem of the journalist industry today, where the journalist is not a neutral eye into the world, but a liberal or conservative eye into the world who sees what he/she wants to see. If a neutral third party viewer known as a journalist is nonexistent, then it's about what kind of propaganda we should accept, understanding that we're being propagandized.

A political party or corporation, has absolutely no interest or desire in your well-being. Maybe at best, they want to convince you of this to vote in November but that's about it. The US Federal Government on the other hand, has no interest in a revolting citizenry. This is true from Bush to Obama to Trump. While the Government wants to flatter itself in the best possible light, unlike journalism in the US which has absolutely zero consequences the government loses immediate credibility upon deceit.

Let's take a look at BBC, it's owned by the British(I mean, duh, the name spells it out), yet it's one of the more well-reputed news sources in the UK. America's own BBC would be welcome in these times.

My views aren't the abyss, my views are simply contrary to mainstream political thought in America. And I'm perfectly fine and okay with that. In fact, I think the more separatist and deteriorating the US Economic, media and other resources become, the more my view of consolidated government will be accepted as the mainstream.

But for now, I'm happy to ring the alarm bells that corporatist media, and corporate political parties do not, never did and never will have your best interests in mind.

Did you bother reading the entire report?

There's no evidence confirming or denying Attkisson was wrong that her computers were compromised. Third party techs hired by her AND CBS News BOTH said there were indications but no confirmation of being hacked. But files were overwritten and deleted from an unsecure harddrive.

My own personal belief and experience is that people are too lax in their thinking Apple products are safe from being hacked, which is completely FALSE.

It couldn't possibly be that covert operations inside the government are able to deceive the average technician? Get real duuude.

This actually has NOTHING to do with Attkisson's video in the OP.

This is WHY dems KEEP LOSING ELECTIONS! Character assassination to avoid the issue and truth.

Yes. You asked me to prove that the IG investigated her personal computer. I did.

You didn't prove squat except distract from the issue of Attkisson's video.

Well, I did link you to the report that proves it. You can lead a horse to water, but ...

It proves nothing that Attkisson was wrong OR RIGHT about getting her computers hacked. NO EVIDENCE EITHER WAY by several qualified technicians. BUT INDICATIONS WERE THERE that it may have happened. Files were deleted and overwritten.

This is WHY DEMS KEEP LOSING ELECTIONS. Character assassination to avoid the issue or truth.

That is probably true. But regular political parties maybe should be included on the list.
