There is no count on anyone for sure. Not even Romney or Santorum know for sure how many they have. The only binding delegates anyone really has are the ones Romney won in FL.

Did you read my article? I explain what is going on in there. I'm not suggesting it is going to be easy, or that there aren't a lot of hurdles, but they can all still be jumped.

Are you suggesting that no one has a chance of winning now but Romney?

Although many of us agree with Paul's opinions, most of us are realistic enough to know Paul will not be nominated. No chance!

And why is it that he won't be the nomination? If you agree with his policies, and most people do, why not vote for the person that has proven he will do what he says and most people want?

It is crazy to see everyone say they like what Paul says, but not vote for him cause they think he won't get the nomination. That is just stupid really.

It's not stupid, it's realistc. Paul is 76 and talks like Daffy Duck! Plus, the perception of him being portrayed by all of the media is not complimentary. Paul is toast, and no amount of wishful thinking will change that.

he probably won't, the repub supporters want a slimy corporatist whore placed in office as badly as you want the current, equally slimy corporatist whore returned to office.

So you will vote for someone that looks pretty but you don't agree with their policies. Yes, that is the epitome of stupid.

Nobody in this thread that hates on Paul ever seems to offer a reason not to vote for him other than their xenophobic fears of middle eastern nations or the fact that he is unpopular.

Voting is not like placing bets on the strongest horse. Vote with your conscience. If He has no chance of winning and Romney's gonna win no matter what, why not just vote for RP anyway?

PS. He talks like Daffy Duck? What a valid point and a matter of substance. I applaud your political research my fellow citizen.

The reason an intelligent person DOESN'T waste a presidential vote on Paul is because that is effectively a vote FOR obama.

While I can understand your fervor FOR Paul, when you KNOW he won't win, then it is time to vote for what is best for the USA. And that is NOT obama.

Exit poll results, MI & AZ. Essentially the same as all previous exit polls.

    MI.

Groups won by Paul 18 to 29, 38%. 5% of voters. [This means of 10,000 voters, 5%, 500 of them were between 18 and 29 and 190 of them voted for Paul]

Second in group that considers itself "somewhat liberal" 28%, 9% of voters.

Asked WHICH candidate would be most likely to defeat obama. Paul got 0, none, ZERO votes.

Paul also WON the group that would vote for the Republican candidate ONLY if its Paul, 35%. 12% of voters.

    AZ.
Paul was second with 19% that OPPOSE the teas party [10% of voters.] Wasn't Paul, THE, tea party candidate???

Again, most likely to defeat obama, Paul got ZIP! Not one vote.

THIS IS OUT OF 43 QUESTIONS ASKED IN EXIT POLLS.

Basically Paul is and was a non-factor in all primaries to date.

I listened to the news of the elections on 2 different channels. All the talk was about Romney and Santorum, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE NEWS AND THE MEDIA MAKES MONEY PRESENTING THE NEWS. Gingrich was mentioned once. Paul's name was never mentioned.

And the candidates are ripping and slashing at each other with negative ads. But Paul is nearly immune from attack. Why,,,,,,, because his record is so good? HELL NO. The others don't attack him because they'd be wasting campaign money knocking a NON-FACTOR. IF he mattered, they'd attack him, but he doesn't matter.

That is an unpleasant truth, but it IS the truth. Paul has 20 delegates and FEW of them are actually BOUND to him.

that's the best you can come up with? Staying in Congress for too long and voting against the system? And by the way, he voted against earmarks.

I don't know how the Ron Paul=racist rumor got started from a couple of statements from 30 years ago, but let me remind you that they have been pulled out of some journal 30 years ago! The way it's been presented, there's no context of any kind, only perceptions of what they would mean today. Ron Paul is the only one of all the candidates who has pointed out how rich white men are dominating this country, yet people are willing to call him a racist based on a few comments pulled out of context from decades ago.

Paul has 20 delegates? That's news to me. I guess you learned that on one of those 24 hour entertainews channels.

RP just beat Obama in a head to head poll.

Obama has virtually the same policies as everyone but RP.

A vote is only a vote if it is made with your conscience. Otherwise you are allowing the directors of public opinion to decide for you.

I don't care how the polls look. If you are determined to have a state sponsored pony program, vote for Vermin Supreme. If you want endless, pointless wars, a worthless dollar, and diminishing freedoms vote for Obamittorumich.

I've asked this question a number of times before and no Paul supporters have successfully answered it.

Would you list ALL the important issues that Paul got PASSED in 3 decades in Congress. And list ALL the important issues that Paul managed to BLOCK in 3 decades in Congress.

The reason that the question has NOT been successfully answered is simple. Important issues PASSED,,,,,,,NONE! Important issues blocked,,,NONE!

Important issues talked about over and over and over? Many, many ,many. Good issues, horrendously bad results for those good issues.

I am not against what Paul says,,,,,,,,I am against what Paul does,,,,,,,NOTHING. People that can only talk the talk but cannot walk the walk are a complete waste of time. In social circles, in business, and in politics. Would Paul be a terrific idea man behind some Lion that got things DONE? Yes, absolutely. Is Paul CIC material? Not even close.

Yet again this failed argument about results is brought up.

Do you think his ideas are never adopted by his colleagues because they would be bad for America or bad for the lobbying special interests?

Sure the rest of the candidates have accomplished more. But, have their accomplishments hurt or helped America?

Exactly...when asked to look at some of the bills that would have been good for America yet failed to make it through Congress...they have no response as to why it wasn't passed...

It is not a failed argument, it is a failed Ron Paul. Did he go to Congress for 3 decades to be a seat warmer? That is ALL he has actually done.

Congressmen ARE our EMPLOYEES, do you remember or even realize that?

When you have an employee that seems to know all there is to know about the job, you are happy. But a year goes by and he has done nothing. He cites numerous problems. A few more years go by, nothing. but he cites numerous problems. 5 years, 10 years, still nothing but what can ONLY be seen as excuses by now. Do you keep him on to retirement even though he has accomplished nothing? If so, you'd better be looking over your shoulder for whoever is responsible for YOUR JOB!

Paul is languishing down at 12% approval. When more people were IN the race he was slightly better, 14.5%. As people dropped out Paul did not pick up a single supporter from the other also rans. He LOST support as others dropped out.

Check back after next week. I suspect it will be strike 3 for Paul. Strike one 1988, Strike two, 2008, Super Tuesday, strike 3.

He talks and talks and doesn't accomplish anything and then he QUITS. That is the complete story of Ron Paul presidential attempts, lifetime.

I noticed you avoided answering his question. Let me post it again for you just in case you missed it...

How blindingly stupid can a question be? Some good, some bad,,,,,,,,,DUH! If you believe all other politicians have done ALL bad, then your brain has been boiled in battery acid.

I have, more than once, said to employees, "Do SOMETHING, even if its wrong!"

NOTHING is nothing, it is not, cannot be anything, BUT, nothing. That is Paul's career. Nothing! Something has a chance of being right or wrong. Nothing, does not have any chance at being right, therefore it is ALWAYS wrong.

I've traveled with salespeople that were driving by huge potential customers. "What about that business?" I'd ask. "He won't buy anything." They'd answer. "Not at this speed!" I'd say. "Why don't we stop and give him a chance to say YES?" Did they always say yes? Only sometimes. But the more that did, the more that did.

    Inaction is unforgivable.

Do something even if it's wrong? That is very worrisome, and I hope not everyone shares that sentiment.

Would you like Ron Paul more if he towed the party line? Would you like him more if he trampled the constitution? If he supported the slaughter of foreign civilians, the prohibition of substances deemed too dangerous for us, and the printing of money to finance infinite government spending?

You said earlier that you agree with him but you will not support him because he will not win. This seems a tad paradoxical in essence.

Besides he hasn't been sitting around doing nothing. He's been talking about the injustices of our government and authoring bills to stop them for decades. All talk? Maybe, but at least he's talking about what would help America. What have any of the other candidates talked about that would help?

Nut up and vote for who you agree with, even if it is Vermin Supreme. It is hypocritical to do otherwise.

I'll respond to this as well.

He doesn't sit on his ass doing nothing. Hence you may not accurately depict him as some seat warmer.

He is the sole voice in congress that speaks the truth about many issues. Issues that the majority of congressman would like left alone.

Compromise is not an essential factor in politics. A politician should look to our founding document and his constituents in making policy decisions rather than taking his lead from big business and all other special interests.

Odd that in every exit poll of every primary or caucus to date. Conservatives DID NOT support Paul. Not so odd since NOBODY of any note, supported Paul.

He is consistently strong in ONE group. The 18 to 29 group that makes up less than 10% of the voters. And even in that group, Paul has not even approached 50% support by that young voter group. Mid 30's is the best he's done with his best group.
The older more experienced voters don't support him
The college or high school grad groups don't
    The well paid don't
    The middle class don't.
    Conservatives don't support him.
The tea party doesn't support him.

In all the elections so far, NONE of those groups preferred Paul over any other candidate. He finished 4th in all the above groups.

So you can kid yourself into thinking that Paul's empty talk means something. You can kid yourself into making excuses for him not accomplishing ANYTHING in Congress.
But you cannot dispute the FACT that Paul has extremely limited support from a very small portion of the voting public.
He quit in 88 because he had NO general support.
He quit in 08 because he had NO general support
He will quit in 12 because he has NO general support.

He is not, was not, and never will be a factor in any presidential election. He is an ALSO RAN. A footnote.
