Again, you are free to wait for me to post as much as you like. I just think it’s odd.

    No. Why do you ask?

If you wish to discourage the poor from having kids, there are a couple basic things we can do:

    1) Stop the mass immigration from dirt poor, illiterate countries. They have high public aid recipient rates when they come to the West. The US is giving 1 million Green Cards to mostly illiterates with zero skills every year.
    2) Get rid of birthright citizenship which allows illegal aliens to drop a baby and collect welfare for their US-born offspring.
    3) Keep abortion funded and legal.

Two steps give married families a decent tax break and cut off benefits to unemployed single parents who squirt out more than two.

People should not be awarded for doing stupid things, if you cannot feed them don't breed them.

When there are no consequences, people will not take responsibility. It is human nature for human beings to put zero value on anything they receive for free.

For the same reasons they don't want you feeding bears in parks, we shouldn't be giving handouts to people.

How about a tax benefit for the first child, a slightly smaller tax benefit for the second child, and no more tax deductions for additional children after that?

Or the deductions for additional children might only be applicable to families paying over $25,000 in tax.

I was referring more toward those on welfare who use additional children to increase the benefits they are paid.

Now if someone can afford to raise a dozen children, I say more power to them, go for it and take a tax break for each one.

Huh? It is most definitely based on IQ testing. That is the point: it RELATES national average tested IQs to national average per capita incomes. Hello?

The first thing you need to change is moving the marrying age back to where it was in the 1950's60's, to late teens early twenties.Waiting till couples are in their 30's-40's is too late in life.
