The science is clear. Masks are not effective on aerosols which is how the virus spreads and infects.

And, they do NOT claim that their call for masks is based on the behavior of 1 micron droplets.

They are by far the predominant way in which covid is spread. That is the science.

 

OK, then CITE that. Cite your proof that 1 micron sized droplets is the major factor in COVID spread.

I've never seen anyone make that claim so far.

But, remember that even that would not answer the root question of whether wearing a mask reduces spread.

People speak, pant from exertion, sneeze, cough, laugh, etc., etc.

All these cause significant sized droplets that a reasonable mask does block.

Again, cite something.

I'm not ready to accept you as a medical expert. So, whatever you say without citation is rubbish.

My point is that the CDC, WHO, and other serious sources of medical science recommend wearing a mask in order to slow transmission.

That's normal breathing - 1 micron. The vast majority of living people do that 24/7.

I understand the science by doing my homework. There is no s scientific proof that surgical and cloth masks protect or prevent the spread. The CDC admits that but recommends that people wear masks all the time. That’s an opinion and not based on fact. If you have a reference that provides proof please post it.

I do my homework by reading the scientific reports. No plans to stop doing that.

 

Also, keep in mind that Sweden's infection wave in 2019 was mild. There was more fuel for Covid-19.

You isolate those with weakened conditions, diabetes, heart lung conditions and obesity, then let the rest use personal judgement. Keep the economy going and work on the vaccination for those that will take it. No mandates. That is how you defeat it.
