This is also ignorant. We would expect government spending to increase during recession. That is standard. It increases, for example, when a government follows the stupidity of austerity (see Britain's experience). Conservatism naturally creates debt
That you'd think West Germany, with its strong collective bargaining, could be seen as a similar example as Florida also amuses!
1+1=2 West Germany had far more freedom than East Germany; FLA has far more freedom the Cuba. Do you know why West Germany and Florida did/does better???
most conservatives would like to make federal debt illegal. Do you understand? Truly amazing how brainwashed you are, a libcommie through and through with no sense of perspective at all. Your masters taught you that libcommie was the center of the universe and you cant imagine that they were using you.
You continue to reply with no content. Austerity created debt. It created debt because it wasn't based on rational macroeconomic policy. It was based on ideological attack by the right.
I keep laughing at your reference to Germany. Their policies would be consistent with your childish "libcommie" rant
I'm not a fan of communism in any way. But you are referring to a country that has interventionism levels that make Clinton look particularly conservative (and you've used your libcommie rant on her!)
if so only because it was legal for it to do so. Most conservatives want to make debt illegal so liberal commie govt can't abuse it.
odd Germany didn't stop BMW from locating their biggest factory in the world in the USA where there are no libcommie unions to contend with!!
This is just repetition of cretinous claim. Why do you think austerity increased debt? Think before you respond with your libcommie drivel!
True enough, it takes some smarts to understand the graphics. Wouldn't you be happier on a Message Board ... ?
Which budget? There are two, one including non-discretionary spending and the other discretionary. The former is unavoidable expenditures. The latter is far more useful in understanding government-directed policy. I have used the Discretionary-budget Infographic - for obvious reasons that you prefer not to comprehend. Which show that the US Federal Government spends 9-times more on the DoD than it does on Education ...
No, but it means you are too thick to understand the point being made and, instead, responded with mindless sarcasm. Wouldn't you be happier on a Message Board rather than a debate-forum ... ?
AND WHAT ABOUT STATE DEBT ... We not only have a Federal Debt, but smothered in hidden accounting techniques are State Debts. From here (City Journal, 2013): The Indebted States of America Excerpt: Fiscal revolt in the states? Yeah, I'll believe that when I see it ...
As Paul Harvey used to say...And now for the rest of the story... The primary funding of our public education system is by State and local taxation. About $1.15 trillion total Federal, State and local spending for the 2012-2013 school year or about the same as the entire Federal discretionary budget for FY2017. The above gleaned from the U.S. Department of Education web site.
