The PSG is an iconic sniper rifle. Some of the PTR clones get close to the original in terms of accuracy.
Plinker:Ruger Mark III 22/45 with the caveat that that the Mark IV is on the wish list. Concealed Carry: Glock 26 Side arm: Glock 19 Medium range rifle: AR15/M4 variant, self built. Long Range Rifle: Remington PSS variant 300 Win Mag. Shotgun: Benelli Nova Tactical I'll add another category and that is deep cover. Ruger LCR 38.
His current tactic-both here and on another board-is to accuse Rucker and I of being gun banners while denying he is one.
Plinker: S&W Model 18 Combat Masterpiece Concealed carry: S&W 469 Side arm: Custom Glock model 17. Medium Range Rifle: Robinson Arms XCR Long Range Rifle: M1A Shotgun: Remington 870 12ga. I note you have the Glock MOS. Unfortunately I don't like the MOS system; it puts everything up too high for cowitnessing. See, I have a custom slide on my G17 that actually mounts the Trijicon RMR closer to the bore and enables me to use cowitnessing sights. Now, I don't lose the speed because I come up for the usual sight picture and the dot's right there. I'm just as fast with the RMR and my groups are tighter and more consistent.
Unlike the M&P which has several plates which actually work (they bought a couple RMR Smith conversions from the guy who really started this trend-David Bowie of Bowie Tactical Concepts) and while they didn't exactly do what he suggested, they were far ahead of the Glock MOS-which came a year or two later and the plates they had didn't fit half the stuff it was supposed to have (you should see the email chain I got from Glock over their plates not fitting DOKTOR, C-More etc. when I told them my CORE did, that was the end. C-More offered to modify the Glock plate to fit-I ended up buying a DELTA POINT which did fit-the guys at AIM where I got the G34 MOS showed me one on one of the employee's Glocks so I bought one and it works fine.
I have shot a PSG-I think they were about 5500 dollars the last time I checked which was a long time ago
If they're even obtainable here anymore. Like I said the PTR clones are quite good and made with Portuguese H&K machinery. Plus they're much more affordable. Besides the 7.62/308 is a highly overrated round. It was consistent and not much else.
What has been settled, however, is the fact that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home
