    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...vilization-something-we-must-fight-every-day/

“Prime Minister Orbán, who masterminded the construction of a highly effective border barrier at the onset of the 2015 migrant crisis, pledged that, for its part, “Hungary will defend Europe’s borders,” adding that “We are working to ensure that what happened in New York 20 years ago never happens again.”

We may have to depend on the countries of Central Europe to preserve Western Civilization. Hungary, Poland and others have strong cultural memories of servitude under first the Ottoman Empire and then Soviet Russia. They know what is valuable to protect, and what leads to destruction...they have a survival instinct. Europe and North America seem to now hate their own culture and have entered into a suicide pact.

Well this thread is sure to attract some anti-white Christianity bashing types.....
Ironically, probably all of them will be white themselves.

Of course they will be. White liberals are the losers of traditional American society. They have an inferiority complex because they were outcasts. Their solution is to destroy it thinking they are sticking it the man.

I like the Visegrad countries, but disagree with Orban here.

To me what 9/11 shows is how bad it is to run politics on fear, and how government's response to crises is usually worse than the crisis itself.

Orban just wants to keep the illegal Muslims out and who can argue something is wrong with that? Muslims are by in large not compatible with Christian society and that's just reality.

I think the translation is that he foresees the rest of Europe turning into Eurostan in the coming decades. That it won't be Europe anymore but will be more like the rest of the Middle East.

A lot of people are extremely ignorant but the Middle East has a lot of problems. Problems that never go away.
Problems that would be hard to imagine for many people here.

Let's not forget that Christians were pretty much eliminated from Iraq within the last 10 years. This was AFTER the US had occupied it and supposedly tried to remake it into a democracy.

If the US can't make Afghanistan into a functioning democracy, you people should be really worried. You think you don't have to worry and everything will be guaranteed to carry on as normal and the society can just deal with any problems as they come up?

Even the so-called "moderate muslim" run places in most of these countries have a huge number of issues. In Indonesia they arrested the governor of the capital city on trumped up charges because he was Christian, literally because he dared to tell muslims that it was okay to vote for him.
Or just read about Asia Bibi in Pakistan.

Eastern Europe (especially the Southeast part of Europe which includes the nation of Hungary) also has a lot of historical experience dealing with muslims.

While Western Europe was enjoying relative peace that allowed them to undergo the Renaissance, Eastern Europe was under constant attack and invasion from the Ottomans. They know well from their country's history what living under muslim rule means.

And by the way, there's totally a reason both the Spanish (think Spanish Inquisition and Conquistadors) and Southeast Europeans (think Vlad the Impaler) became so savage. It was a direct reaction to what they had been dealing with.
(The history books these days give a very misleading and deceptive picture, claiming that Christians were "tolerated" but not explaining what they had to deal with; for example ruinously high special taxes, or often being killed by a mob for the slightest perceived provocation with the local authorities refusing to do anything, or women being forced by men to convert and then if they tried to go back to their previous religion the whole town would stone her and it was totally legal to kill her for that, or forced kidnapping of young Christian girls for brides, something that is still going on in the world)

I support his measures at containing illegal immigration, though I do not want a theocracy.

There are different levels of "theocracy". I'm sure his version of "theocracy" is not much more so than that in Russia.
I doubt he is even a strong Christian himself. He's more of a nationalist. The religion plays into that. Several decades under communism pretty much destroyed religion in Hungary. Some of this is a reaction to try to reclaim that, as a symbol of what was lost, and a symbol of independence from foreign invasion.

He will likely be cracking down on abortion though, to try to get the birth rate up. I don't think the motivations are mostly religious on this one though. Eastern European women have really high rates of abortion and there's a problem with their populations declining.

You counter communism with strong property rights.

I prefer the Czech's response to their communist rule over e Hungary's: jealously guard their firearms.

France, Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy, etc have great memories how their Christian heritage caused how others got butchered and/or massacres in their colonies.

Why do you call them Christian? Just curious.

Shark Island prison camp was created after rebels killed 100+ German settlers.

Ah yes an anti western value dictator trying to say that dictatorships and bigotry are part of western civilization. Shame on people for justifying why Muslims are scared.

Orban is correct. Western countries are committing suicide based on radical and unworkable and basically anti-Western liberal values.

Because they were the days those countries had utterly devoted Christians doing such things. And this is about what the Christian civilization has to offered the world

It was a death camp where Germans committed genocide since the color of the skin was the thing that made them qualified to be tossed in it.... and with that, them Christians killed something like 80% of the indigenous population for the main goal to replace those people whit their settlers who are far from being innocent in this.

There is reasons why he spoke of "christian civilization", western civilization remain splitted along the berlin wall, with the former western countries being liberals and former communist countries being more conservative christian.

That's just whataboutism, nobody denied that christian people commited attrocities in the past. So, yes it's true that some people that called themselves christian comitted attrocities in the past, and ? What should we deduce ?

Europeans colonizing Africa were not exactly devout Christians, and the German army was not there on a mission to turn locals into Christians.

How can 3000 people equate to a genocide?

I posted pictures about the good old glory days of western devoted Christians, when countries like Hungary and Poland hardly mattered / existed.

Hang on. This Orban talks about “We are working to ensure that what happened in New York 20 years ago never happens again.”... So Orban drags in a terrorist organization of maybe a 100 people behind 9/11 committing some atrocities and lobs in any muslim refugee as if it's an Al Qaida terrorist... while glorifying the Christian heritage. Let me crash and burn that Christian heritage of finding who ever who is not Christian to be 2nd class citizens, hardly or not more important then an animal.

Oh really? That doesn't explain at all how Christianity is the biggest religion in Africa, as in the rest of the world.

Genocide is not limited to a specific number or even a specific % of success. FYI... I'm not up for a retarded debate if or if not Christians committed genocide there. Of course they did. The end.

You say that when German presence caused Namibia to become 80 to 90% Christian now.
So what you say is not supported by reality.

For the 3rd time, - the German army was not there to spread Christianity. The German army ran shark island prison camp, but you are trying hard to blame it in "Christians". Why?

Christian missionaries arrived in Namibia about 100 years earlier, and they were mostly from England, and they did not run any prison camps.

I don't have an extended knowledge about Orban, so I have difficulties knowing his global ideologies. I just know he is trashed by the same people that closed their eyes on what Macron did on the yellow jacket, so I have difficulties believing the sincerity of their outrage.

When he says that he think that western christian ideology deserve to be preserved, he doesn't says (or deny) that this legacy should be uniformly should be praised, or that shouldn't be criticized on it darker aspects, just that it's worthy to being preserved.

Concerning Al-Qaida, it's impossible to estimate how many members they actually have, but it sister organizations such the talibans or ISIS had thousands of fighters each (even if Daesh ended to enter at with both talibans and ISIS).

Considering the "Christian heritage of finding who ever who is not Christian to be 2nd class citizens, hardly or not more important then an animal", we don't need in Europe people that believe that apostates should be executed, or that kufr are worthless. The legacy of Europe tend to show at the opposite that we shouldn't have any kind of tolerance for that kind of obscurantism.
